We are currently seeking a Empower/LOS QA Analyst to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).
Empower/LOS QA Analyst
Role Summary:
Experienced QA Analyst specializing in testing the Empower Loan Origination System (LOS) across the end-to-end mortgage loan lifecycle. Strong expertise in functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing, with deep knowledge of mortgage lending processes, regulatory compliance, and LOS workflows. Proven ability to ensure high-quality software releases, validate complex business processes, and support successful implementation of Empower LOS enhancements, integrations, and system upgrades.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test data for Dark Matter Empower LOS enhancements, configurations, integrations, and system upgrades.
- Validate Empower LOS functionality throughout the complete mortgage lifecycle, including loan origination, application, processing, underwriting, closing, funding, and post-closing activities.
- Perform functional, regression, system, integration, end-to-end, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure business requirements and configuration changes are implemented accurately.
- Analyze business, functional, and technical requirements to develop comprehensive test scenarios covering mortgage workflows, business rules, calculations, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects using defect management tools, collaborating with Business Analysts, Developers, Configuration Analysts, and vendor support teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Validate integrations with third-party applications, including Point-of-Sale (POS) platforms, credit bureaus, pricing engines, compliance solutions, document management systems, eSignature platforms, and other Empower ecosystem components.
- Perform data validation by verifying loan data, workflow outcomes, calculations, automated conditions, interfaces, and system-generated reports to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Execute compliance and regulatory testing to validate adherence to mortgage lending regulations and investor guidelines, including TRID, RESPA, HMDA, CFPB, and related industry standards.
- Support release management activities by conducting smoke testing, deployment validation, production verification, regression testing, and post-release quality assurance.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and end users to clarify requirements, support UAT, communicate testing progress, and recommend continuous quality improvements.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, backlog refinement, defect triage, and retrospective activities to ensure timely delivery of high-quality releases.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, test automation readiness, testing standards, and best practices within the Empower LOS environment.

- 6 to 7 years of experience in "Dark Matter Empower Loan Origination System (LOS)"
- Functional, Regression, System, Integration, and End-to-End Testing
- Test Planning, Test Case Design, and Test Execution
- Defect Management and Root Cause Analysis
- SQL and Data Validation
- Requirements Analysis and Traceability
- Agile/Scrum Methodologies
- Test Management and Defect Tracking Tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira, ALM)
- Alternatively to Empower, below product experience can also be considered
