Senior PeopleSoft / Database Administrator

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced PeopleSoft Administrator / DBA to manage, maintain, and secure enterprise PeopleSoft FSCM Production and Non-Production environments. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring high availability, peak performance, and data integrity across the entire application stack. You will bridge infrastructure, application middleware, and database layers to support ongoing projects and day-to-day operations.

Core Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Architect, Install, configure, tune, and monitor WebLogic Web Servers, Tuxedo Application Servers, Open Search, and Batch/Process Scheduler Servers.
  • Establish and maintain automated PeopleSoft Environment cloning including database cloning, manage scripts.
  • Administer and bridge on-premises enterprise Linux systems with cloud infrastructure (OCI/AWS).
  • Design, test and implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery architectures using RMAN, Data Guard and Oracle RAC
  • Build and maintain Linux shell or Python scripts to automate routine operations such as system monitoring, health checks and alerting.
  • Release Automation (Phire): Manage and configure Phire Application Lifecycle Management for object migrations, version control, change requests, and automated deployment auditing across all environments.  Perform periodic Phire application upgrades.
  • Third-Party Integration: Configure, secure, and monitor connections between PeopleSoft FSCM and 3rd-party Supply Chain Management tools. Manage PeopleSoft Integration Servers, API gateways, IB nodes, and secure REST/SOAP web services.
  • Perform PeopleSoft software installations, upgrade and configurations using Deployment Packages (DPK) when needed.  Manage several PUM Images
  • Monitor Oracle critical / quarterly updates and apply updates, Fixes.  Perform PUM Image upgrades as needed.
  • Serve as PeopleSoft DBA performing installs, patching, performance tuning, and structural changes across Production, Non-Production, and Implementation environments.
  • Maintain database servers using RMAN backups, Exports/Imports, and automated cloning processes for rapid environment refreshes.
  • Write and maintain advanced Linux Shell scripts to automate administration tasks, hybrid data transfers, and interface transmissions.
  • Implement end-to-end application security, manage Tuxedo security, and run periodic DDDAUDIT and SYSAUDIT reports to ensure data integrity.  Monitor and apply Oracle critical patch updates.
  • Debug and isolate infrastructure issues involving Application Engine, Integration Broker, SQR, and Change Assistant Tool.
  • Perform full application upgrades and major infrastructure transitions, identifying customizations via compare reports.
  • Install, compile, and license MicroFocus Visual COBOL runtimes required for FSCM batch processing. 
  • Support 24/7 mission-critical operations by participating in standard on-call shift rotations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of dedicated PeopleSoft Administration and Database Administration experience.
  • Deep hands-on experience with Phire ALM for migrations, tracking, and compliance.
  • Experience with PeopleTools 8.61 / 8.62+, including Fluid UI, Integration Broker, and PUM.
  • 5+ years administering Oracle AI Database 26ai / 23ai / 19c, including Oracle RAC, RMAN, and applying Critical Patch Updates (CPU/RU).
  • Deep knowledge of Linux and Windows Server architecture.
  • Hands-on administration of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or AWS cloud services linked to on-prem data centers.

 Additional Requirements

  • Must be willing to work from the office 5 days a week.
  • Must be able to work from Bengaluru, Noida, or Hyderabad.
  • Flexibility to support business-critical activities, including financial close cycles, production deployments, and system upgrades outside regular business hours when required.
