We are currently seeking a JBPM Lead to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).


The role requires 6+ years of relevant experience with deep jBPM expertise, strong Java backend skills, and practical experience integrating internal systems such as GRC platforms, Request Management tools, ERP, HR, and Finance via APIs and API gateways.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design BPMN 2.0 and DMN models for internal functions including: Ofcom and regulatory submissions, legal contract lifecycle, infosec threat and vulnerability management , finance approvals and reconciliations, vendor onboarding and supply chain workflows.
  • Implement jBPM processes that orchestrate Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) use cases such as risk registers, control assessments, policy attestations, regulatory obligation tracking, and audit issue remediation, leveraging enterprise GRC platforms where available.
  • Build integrations between jBPM processes and Java/Spring Boot services, using REST, Kafka or gRPC, with a preference for routing external and cross‑domain traffic via enterprise API gateways (e.g. Apigee, Azure API Management or equivalent).
  • Implement Request Management workflows (e.g. Jira Service Management or similar) by automating ticket creation, approvals, task assignments and SLA tracking from jBPM processes, particularly for infosec, access, and change‑related internal requests.
  • Optimise BPM solutions for telco‑scale internal scenarios such as high‑volume infosec incident workflows, recurring regulatory evidence collection, and mass policy attestation campaigns across large user populations.
  • Added advantage : Deploy and operate highly‑available jBPM on AWS EKS with asynchronous processing, human task management for legal and risk reviews, and full audit trails that satisfy GDPR, Ofcom and internal audit inspections.
  • Added advantage : Lead BPM maturity assessments and migrations from legacy workflow tools (e.g. Oracle BPM, bespoke solutions) to jBPM.
  • Collaborate with GRC, Compliance, Legal, InfoSec, Finance and Supply Chain stakeholders to translate policies and control frameworks (e.g. Ofcom GC11, NCSC CAF, internal policy libraries) into executable BPMN/DMN models with clear SLAs and exception handling.
  • Define standard patterns for API gateway policies (authentication, throttling, logging) and event‑driven integrations so that jBPM processes can reliably trigger and react to events external systems eg GRC, ITSM, ERP, HR and SIEM systems.
  • Design and optimise Oracle database schemas and PL/SQL objects to support jBPM processes and Java microservices, ensuring performance, auditability and data quality for regulatory, infosec and finance workflows.

Java 17+, Spring Boot/Quarkus, Java microservices design (RESTful and event‑driven), custom jBPM work item handlers, REST and messaging integrations, API gateway patterns (e.g. Apigee, Azure API Management)

Database

Strong Oracle RDBMS experience, advanced PL/SQL (packages, procedures, performance tuning), design of audit‑ready schemas for regulatory/GRC data, building and optimising complex queries for jBPM and microservices backends.

GRC & Compliance

Experience with GRC/IRM platforms (e.g. SAP, ServiceNow GRC or similar), risk and control registers, obligations registers, policy management, evidence collection and audit workflows. 

Regulatory/Legal

Ofcom regulatory reporting, GDPR data protection workflows, contract lifecycle management, approvals and attestations for internal functions. 

Infosec

Added Advantage : NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework, incident and vulnerability workflows, SOAR‑style orchestration, SIEM integration for incident and threat handling, role‑based escalations. 

DevOps & Runtime

Kubernetes (e.g. EKS), Kafka Streams, Elastic/ELK or equivalent ; CI/CD for jBPM assets and Java services. 

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering; 6+ years in BPM.

Proven delivery of jBPM solutions for GRC and internal operations, such as automated infosec vulnerability workflows, regulatory evidence collection, or supply‑chain vendor risk and exception management
