II. Your Impact
The Engineering Cyber, Disaster Recovery, Resiliency and Recovery Specialist manages resiliency, disaster recovery, and cyber recovery testing for critical applications across Engineering and Business Units. The role supports the development of policies, governance, standards, and testing frameworks that help ensure business resilience, service continuity, and recoverability are appropriately validated.
This role partners closely with Technology Infrastructure, Application Teams, Risk Management, Corporate Services, Operational Risk, Internal Audit, and Business teams to plan, coordinate, and execute technology resiliency events, including Disaster Recovery testing, Cyber Recovery testing, Data Center failover tests, building power-down events, concentration testing, pandemic tests, and industry/regulatory resiliency exercises.
The specialist helps application and infrastructure teams validate recovery strategies, understand recovery dependencies, establish order of recovery, maintain evidence, identify control gaps, and improve resiliency processes.

Team Description
Enterprise Technology Operations – Engineering Cyber, Resiliency and Recovery Specialist
Enterprise Technology Operations (Engineering Cyber, Resiliency and Recovery Specialist) is responsible for strategic initiatives that reduce risk and improve resiliency and recoverability across Engineering.
The team ensures effective recovery plans are in place, aligned with firm resiliency strategies, and validated across people, products, platforms, and functions.
The team drives adoption of standards, controls, platforms, and automation to improve recovery plan quality, reduce manual effort, support Business Continuity test credit, track exemptions, maintain evidence, and identify key application and infrastructure dependencies.

IV. How You Will Fulfill Your Potential
•    Manage education, awareness, and adoption of Engineering Resiliency, Disaster Recovery, and Cyber Recovery programs across Engineering divisions and Business Units.
•    Engage business units and application teams to review, improve, and validate resiliency and recovery plans.
•    Partner with technology business leaders to ensure critical applications are recoverable, recovery dependencies are understood, and recovery capabilities are tested regularly.
•    Lead and coordinate infrastructure and application Disaster Recovery testing, Cyber Recovery testing, Data Center failover events, and building power-down events.
•    Define test scope including shared service dependencies, upstream and downstream application dependencies, infrastructure dependencies, order of recovery, and critical recovery milestones.
•    Work with application owners to adopt mandated controls and improve recovery procedures in line with resiliency and recovery requirements.
•    Support Cyber Recovery testing by helping teams validate their ability to recover during cyberattack scenarios and execute recovery procedures.
•    Coordinate and manage regulatory resiliency recovery tests, including: 
o    SIFMA industry-wide exercises
o    SPOOR-related tests
o    MAS-guided resiliency events
•    Maintain test documentation and evidence in accordance with governance, internal audit, risk, and regulatory expectations.
•    Liaise with internal and external teams to schedule test activities, monitor progress, document outcomes, and provide evidence supporting audit and risk management requirements.
•    Partner with Operational Risk Management, Internal Audit, Risk Management, and Technology stakeholders to ensure resiliency activities align with firm strategy and application requirements.
•    Conduct and coordinate Business Impact Analysis (BIA) reviews to understand workflows, recovery needs, dependencies, workarounds, and recovery alternatives during outage or cyber recovery scenarios.
•    Act as a trusted advisor to business divisions and application teams on: 
o    Business resiliency
o    Cyber recovery readiness
o    Recovery simulations
o    Testing approaches
o    Risk mitigation strategies
•    Support governance forums, resiliency committees, risk committees, threat awareness activities, assurance reviews, and planning discussions.
•    Drive process improvements by identifying gaps in procedures, testing execution, control adoption, recovery documentation, and evidence management.
•    Identify opportunities for automation and tooling to improve recovery planning and reduce manual effort.
•    Oversee execution plans, readiness checks, business recovery validation, and management of resiliency-related escalations.

V. Skills & Experience We're Looking For
A. Basic Qualifications
•    Bachelor's Degree.
•    Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
•    Experience with Kubernetes.
•    Minimum 4–5 years of experience across technology infrastructure, application support, resiliency, disaster recovery, cyber recovery, technology risk, or related domains.
•    Understanding of technology risk disciplines including: 
o    Information Security
o    Business Continuity
o    Technology Resilience
o    Controls Monitoring
o    Risk Assurance
o    Risk Governance
•    Understanding of: 
o    Disaster Recovery procedures
o    Cyber Recovery procedures
o    Resiliency testing
o    Recovery validation
•    Knowledge of recovery metrics including: 
o    RTO (Recovery Time Objective)
o    RPO (Recovery Point Objective)
o    RTA (Recovery Time Actual)
o    RPA
o    MTD (Maximum Tolerable Downtime)
•    Basic understanding of cloud environments.
•    Ability to distinguish between: 
o    Resiliency Testing
o    Disaster Recovery Testing
o    Cyber-Attack Recovery Testing
o    Repair/Rebuild Recovery Scenarios
•    Experience coordinating resiliency testing for infrastructure and application components such as: 
o    Databases
o    NAS Storage
o    Object Storage
o    Block Storage
•    Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
•    Strong project management skills.
•    Exceptional attention to detail with ownership and accountability mindset.
•    Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

B. Preferred Qualifications
•    5–7 years of experience in Disaster Recovery, Resiliency, Cyber Recovery, Technology Risk, or similar recovery programs.
•    Experience with incident management monitoring and escalation.
•    4+ years of project management experience, preferably coordinating Disaster Recovery, Cyber Recovery, regulatory resiliency, or power-down events.
•    Prior experience developing or managing resiliency and disaster recovery programs.
•    Hands-on experience supporting large-scale application lifecycle activities.
•    Experience with: 
o    Python
o    Java
o    JSON
o    REST APIs
o    AWS
o    GitLab
o    CI/CD
o    SDLC concepts
•    Advanced cloud expertise across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
•    Strong understanding of Data Center infrastructure, network appliances, storage technologies, Unix/Linux/Windows environments, IP telephony, and recovery sequencing.
•    Prior experience as: 
o    System Administrator
o    Application Support Engineer
o    Technology Operations Professional
•    Experience using automation and workflow tooling to streamline recovery planning, execution, reporting, and evidence collection.
•    Ability to analyze issues during testing or recovery events, identify alternatives, support remediation, and confirm issue closure.
•    Strong ability to ask probing questions to understand failover, recovery, cyber recovery, and business continuity requirements.
