We are currently seeking a L2 Production Support - Java / Python / C++ to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

Role:

Engineering Support Level 2/Level 3 - Appbank

Responsibilities:

• Investigate and drive support resolution with Boltweb engineering teams. Serve as point of escalation for support issues from FICC Boltweb.
• Help to define and improve runtime while enhancing Boltweb support platform and Application
• Become Support SME and help improving service elasticity, resiliency and recovery times.
• Improve SDLC / Continuous Delivery OKRs such as increasing release cadence and reducing incident rates.
• Create documentation and code snippets to share with L1 internal engineering teams

Key criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or equivalent) and 3+ years of software development experience.
• Must be comfortable coding in Java or similar programming language, debugging, writing quality-of-life snippets, writing scripts for debugging and updates and familiarity with Linux bash scripting..
• Must be clear, empathetic communicator.
• Must be willing to execute on support issues while also building out the function and automating repeat issues.
• Ability to identify corner cases, add validations will help us understand problem solving ability.
• Knowledge of standard support ticketing, prioritization and SDLC processes and tools Gitlab, incident management, jira etc.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Experience with configuring monitoring and alerting solutions ( e.g. Prometheus, PagerDuty )
• Experience with configuring service mesh solutions/grids (e.g. Itsio )
• Experience with Kubernetes networking configuration ( e.g. Contour / Envoy )
• Experience with infra as code (e.g. Terraform / Kustomize )
• Exposure to large scale SOA Java deployment specially micro-services
• Exposure to Kafka, Elastic Search
• Experience in Continuous Delivery / DevOps / agile methodologies
• Familiarity with data analysis and dashboard tools like Grafana/Kibana
• Experience in Docker based services running in a cloud environment
