We are currently seeking a Linux Admin to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

NTT DATA, Inc. currently seeks SQL Server admin to join our team.

 

The SQLServer Database Admin will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server RDBMS systems, to ensure the availability and consistent performance of our client applications. This is a “hands-on” position requiring solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

 

"Position General Duties and Tasks”

 

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide technical expertise for system transitions, migrations and consolidations.
  • Be able to work independently and lead/support multiple projects/clients.
  • Monitor and tune the system to achieve optimum performance levels in standalone and multi-tiered environments.
  • Conduct system analysis, configuration management and develops improvements for system software performance, availability and reliability.
  • Perform server installation, software installation, server decommission, server update, server migration, transition new account, scripting, changes to the systems and other engineer tasks/projects within the Service Level Agreements.
  • Design, develops, recommends and implements new or revised system software, utilities and automated processes as necessary.
  • Provide in-depth diagnosis for operating systems software/hardware failures and develops solutions.
  • Ensure server data integrity by evaluating, implementing and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions.
  • Prescribe system backup / disaster recovery procedures and directs recovery operations in the event of destruction of all or part of the operating system or other system components.
  • Implement appropriate levels of system security and standard best practices.

 

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of Linux/UNIX System Administration experience.
  • Strong knowledge/experience of System Administration and Operating Systems.
  • Strong knowledge/experience of Systems Hardware (Dell, HP and IBM)
  • Strong knowledge/experience working with VMs on AWS, Azure, VMware, OpenStack, OpenShift and other Cloud technologies.
  • Strong knowledge/experience of ITIL.
  • Strong knowledge/experience of industry standards and audit requirements.
  • In depth Linux administration is a must.
  • Strong knowledge/experience of Linux System Administration and Operating Systems
  • Strong knowledge/experience LVM
  • Strong knowledge/experience with kickstart and building new Linux server
  • Strong knowledge/experience of RedHat version 5.x, 6.x, 7.x, SuSE, OEL and CentOS.
  • Strong knowledge/experience of scripting
  • Strong knowledge/experience with patching Linux
  • Strong knowledge/experience with Redhat Cluster
  • Strong knowledge/experience with working on projects
  • Strong knowledge/experience with creating Disaster Recovery plan and perform DR test
  • Strong knowledge/experience with troubleshooting server performance and issues.
  • Good with updating and creating technical documentations and SOPs
  • Leadership skill
  • Mentoring and coaching other team members
  • Should have excellent written & oral communication skills.
  • Must be keen to learn new development methods and technologies and be a fast learner.
  • Be enthusiastic about work and be a good team player.
  • Maintain the positive attitude, be honest and sincere in work.
  • Knowledge on virtualization.
  • Experience on Automation would be preferred.
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure that NTT DATA Services meet the client’s expectations and deliver quality services within specified service level agreements (SLAs) and contractual obligations
  • Coordinate escalations and collaborate with internal technology teams, leadership and clients to ensure timely resolution of issues
  • Propose possible process and technical improvements to management
  • Evaluate emerging technologies to ensure technical solutions are compatible with the company's business needs and strategic objectives
  • Assumes responsibility to improve service, efficiency and quality of work
  • Develop innovative and creative output based on interpretation and analysis that improves business performance and contributes to corporate goals and strategic intent.
