We are currently seeking a Linux Server Administrator to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

G5 - Linux Server Administrator (Intermediate L1 / Junior L2)

Role Summary

G5 admins handle moderately complex Linux server issues with a deeper understanding of OS components, file systems, services, and basic networking.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth L1 troubleshooting:
• High CPU/memory consumption
• Service failures with dependency analysis
• Filesystem permissions (chmod/chown)
• Manage user and group administration (creating, modifying, locking accounts).
• Troubleshoot SSH, sudoers, and authentication‑related issues.
• Analyze Linux logs using:
• /var/log/messages
• /var/log/secure
• Application logs
• Support patching cycles (pre-checks, post-validation, failure reporting).
• Work with backup teams for file/directory restore requests.
• Manage disks and LVM basics (logical volumes, mount issues).
• Validate cron jobs and scheduled tasks.
• Mentor and support G4 team members.

Required Skills

• 1–3 years Linux operations/NOC experience.
• Strong command-line skills.
• Understanding of systemd, package management (yum/apt), log analysis.
• Basic networking (DNS, routing table checks, iptables basics).
