We are currently seeking a Offshore Sr. Test Engineer to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

Job Duties: Senior Test Engineer Role Overview The Senior Test Engineer serves as the quality owner for the Informatica-to-dbt migration, responsible for defining and overseeing the end-to-end testing strategy across Extract, Load, and Transform layers. This role ensures data is landed accurately from source systems using Python-based ingestion and that dbt transformations meet functional equivalence with legacy Informatica outputs. The Senior Test Engineer provides test leadership across multiple migration waves and parallel business units (SWP and IMS), while mentoring Test Engineers and coordinating closely with Technical Leads and SMEs. Key Responsibilities · Define the overall test strategy, test approach, and validation framework for EL and dbt Transform components. · Establish testing standards, reusable test cases, and automation patterns where applicable. · Validate Python-based extract/load processes for: o Row counts o Schema alignment o Data completeness o Data type consistency · Oversee dbt transformation validation, including: o Pre- vs post-migration data reconciliation o Aggregation and business rule validation o Incremental and full-load behavior · Review and approve test execution results and defect triage. · Coordinate testing activities across SWP and IMS migration waves. · Partner with Informatica SMEs to understand legacy validation logic and expected outputs. · Support SIT, UAT cycles, and production release readiness. · Provide reporting on test progress, defect trends, and release quality metrics Minimum Skills Required: Required Skills & Experience · 8+ years of data testing experience in large-scale data migration or ETL programs · Strong SQL skills (Oracle, SQL Server, or similar RDBMS) · Experience validating ETL/ELT pipelines and transformations · Familiarity with dbt testing concepts (schema tests, data tests preferred) · Experience testing Python-based data pipelines · Strong understanding of reconciliation techniques and data validation frameworks · Prior experience working in offshore delivery models
