We are currently seeking a Business Consultant - Cloud Architect - Azure to join our team in Bangalore - Onsite Viatris Office (Work from Office), Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

Role Summary

The Azure Cloud Architect is responsible for designing, building, and governing cloud-native, hybrid solutions primarily on Microsoft Azure, with AWS as a secondary cloud platform. The role focuses on delivering secure, highly available, scalable, and cost-optimized architectures across IaaS, PaaS, and data platforms, aligned with enterprise standards and well-architected frameworks, while providing technical leadership for modernization, resilience, and platform governance initiatives.

Responsibilities & Technical Skills

• Minimum 12+ years of experience in IT industry and 6+ years as technical/solution architect having solid understanding of cloud IaaS, PaaS, FaaS, DBaaS services.
• Design and build cloud-native solutions, hybrid and multi-cloud solutions that are highly available, scalable, secure, performant and cost optimized using well-architected frameworks and guidelines.
• Strong hands-on experience architecting and implementing solutions across Azure IaaS, PaaS, Serverless, and Data/Analytics platforms, ensuring high availability, security, scalability, performance, and cost optimization.
• Design and govern highly available and resilient architectures for Azure IaaS and PaaS workloads using Availability Zones, regional redundancy, and platform-native resiliency features and align RTO/RPO objectives with business requirements
• Provide architectural and platform support for Azure analytics services including Azure Synapse Analytics, Data Lake Storage Gen2, Storage Accounts, SQL Database, App Services, APIM and Microsoft Fabric etc., with all relevant integrations & RBAC
• Azure Compute: Architect and design compute platforms using Azure Virtual Machines, VM Scale Sets, App Services, Azure Functions, and AKS, aligned with workload performance and availability requirements.
• Azure Networking: Design enterprise and hybrid networking using Azure VNets, Load Balancers, Application Gateway, Azure Firewall, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute and Front Door, ensuring secure and reliable connectivity.
• Azure Storage: Define scalable storage architectures using Azure Storage Accounts (Blob, File), Managed Disks, Azure Backup, and geo-redundancy options (LRS/GRS) with security and cost optimization.
• Define architecture with latest technology advancement for application modernization, migration, re-platforming, and re-architecture initiatives.
• Hands on experience in container deployment patterns, platform integration, and governance within Azure environments.
• Fair knowledge on Windows OR RHEL OS on Infrastructure applications like Active Directory, File Server, Proxy & Terminal Server and OS level clustering & load balancing etc.
• Good to have architectural experience on equivalent AWS services as well like EC2, EKS, ECS, S3, Route 53, RDS, Cloud Front & Glacier etc.
• Good to have knowledge on other supporting tools / technologies: MS Visio, Azure AD Connect, DevOps etc. and also on any of the automation scripting knowledge Power Shell, Python, Yaml.

KNOWLEDGE 

Apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts and has full knowledge of other related disciplines.

Full Knowledge in all of the following environments to administer, optimize, and design.

1.  The role holder will work closely with Tower leads, SMEs and Build managers depending on the stage of opportunity. 
2. Create detailed solutions in response to build projects and Automation.
3. Knowledge of ITIL a plus Performance Skills/Individual Competencies: Solid planning and organizing skills with an attention to detail

General knowledge in all of the following areas to help coordinate cross group projects.

1. Project Management skills
2. Preferably including multiple disciplines (e.g. application development, infrastructure, operations) 
3. Designing infrastructure solutions encompassing multiple technology domains.
4. Implementing custom developed applications, commercial off- the shelf software and middleware products

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

High level of analytical and problem-solving abilities.  Ability to conduct research into security issues and products as required.  Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.  Highly self motivated and directed.  Strong organizational skills.  Excellent attention to detail.  Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. 

Must possess time management skills, organizational skills, writing skills, and computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Lotus Notes.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree and Minimum 12+ years of experience in IT industry and 6+ years as technical/solution architect

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret complex business and/or technical documents. Ability to write comprehensive reports and detailed business correspondence.  Ability to work with managers or directors and communicate ambiguous concepts.  Ability to present to groups across the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Work on unusually complex technical problems and provides solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious.
