We are currently seeking a Processes Technician N2/3 - IT (ITAM) to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).
Summary of Key Responsibilities
- Management of the team, planning and prioritization of activities.
- Escalate and promote possible improvements to the services offered.
- Search for automation mechanisms in the performance of the area's activities.
- Define and enforce SAM policies and procedures across the organization.
- Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and regulatory requirements.
- Establish ownership and accountability for SAM processes within functional groups.
- Drive the entire lifecycle of software assets: procurement, deployment, maintenance, utilization, and retirement.
- Maintain accurate inventory of licenses, contracts, and entitlements.
- Drive SAM awareness programs and training for relevant teams.
- Ensure employees understand software usage policies and compliance obligation
- Implement processes for software distribution, upgrades, and decommissioning.
- Ensuring the execution of services provided to end users is of high quality, consistent, and within the defined SLAs:
- Centralize requests for software installation/uninstallation, and redirect to other teams if needed (e.g., global workplace team, Procurement area).
- Support queries about the software catalogue, licensing, and costs.
- Assign licenses to users through software portals (e.g., Microsoft, Adobe, Docker, JetBrains).
- Register license assignments to end users/project codes.
- Manage and ensure the handling of more complex or potentially impactful service requests.
- Analyze service status reports provided by the SMO and establish necessary action plans.
- Monitor usage and ensure the stock of available licenses.
- Compliance & Audit Readiness
- Conduct regular audits and prepare Effective License Position (ELP) reports.
- Monitor software usage to prevent unauthorized installations and reduce compliance risks.
- Ensure readiness for vendor audits and internal governance checks
- Optimization & Cost Control
- Analyze software usage trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Manage renewals, true-ups, and license procurement to optimize spend.
- Recommend low-cost alternatives and software harvesting strategies.
Knowledge, skills and attributes
- Seasoned analytical and reasoning skills.
- Ability to interpret complex processes and policies.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse, global, and multicultural community.
- Ability to present information at various levels of the organization. •
- Experience managing large-scale hardware deployments and refresh projects.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strategic mindset with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of asset lifecycle management and inventory control.
- Familiarity with SAM tools (e.g., ServiceNow SAM Pro).
- Understanding of ITIL and ITSM processes.
- Proven experience in driving optimization of asset information
Academic Qualifications and Certifications
- ITAM/CSAM CHAMP (Mandatory).
- ITIL v3 / v4 Foundation certified.
Required Experience
- 5–8 years in CMDB Configuration Management or IT Asset Management.
- Relevant services experience gained with a similar IT environment.
