We are currently seeking a Red Hat OpenShift Engineer to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

What you will do:

• Serve as the technical point of contact and on-site delivery expert for customer solutions based on Red Hat technologies
• Be a subject matter expert and support the day-to-day operations of our managed platform services
• Ensure availability, reliability, and performance of OpenShift/Container Platform
• Install, maintain, and configure production and non-production OpenShift environments.
• Perform patching, software implementations, and upgrades to Red Hat OpenShift platforms.
• Support the delivery of automated Infrastructure
• Work closely with other teams across the business to improve efficiency
• Fault diagnosis including problem statements and mitigation planning
• Service and application Migration activities (RHEL & OCP)
• Provide input and design review to ensure best practice implementation of container platforms and automation toolchains

What you will bring:

• Implementation and deployment experience on enterprise PaaS solutions based on Red Hat OpenShift V3 & V4 on variety of IaaS platforms like, OpenStack, VMware, Public Cloud etc.
• Migration experience to the OpenStack/OpenShift platform from Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) and/or VMware
• Strong experience in OCP (OpenShift), Red Hat, Virtualization (KVM), VMware etc.
• A good understanding and experience of how Ansible (or a similar technology) can be used to provide a high level of Automation
• A minimum of 4 years of experience with complex/large enterprise in a customer-facing positions as a technology engineer
• Excellent knowledge on Linux specifically RHEL 7.x and 8.x
• Strong experience in OCP (OpenShift) ecosystem tools implementation such as logging monitoring, alert etc,
• Good hands-on understanding on Virtualization, Container native storage, OpenStack etc.
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals, SDN, cluster & resource management and Cloud deployment (AWS/Azure/Google/IBM cloud platforms),
• Security implementation on Kubernetes as per best practices
• Hands-on experience on GitOps for platform and application deployment
• Good knowledge / experience on Container native storage such as Ceph/Gluster/OCS etc.
• Good exposure to DevOps principles, CI/CD Pipelines using Jenkins and other DevOps tools stack
• Have assisted in migrations and assessment of applications of platforms written in different languages/technologies (Java, PHP, Python, Ruby, etc.), WAS, WebLogic to Open-source solution involving Docker or Kubernetes Frameworks
• Ability to translate technical knowledge and skills into proposals, presentations, standard demos, and customer workshops
• Ability to coordinate resources and influence internal and external stakeholders
• Team-oriented, motivated, and enthusiastic with the willingness to take initiative and maintain a positive approach
• Ability to work with a virtual team
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
• Solid understanding of enterprise operational processes, planning, and operations
• Red Hat certification is especially desirable
