We are currently seeking a Senior Oracle DBA with GoldenGate to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

Job Title - Senior Oracle DBA with GoldenGate

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to join the Database Engineering team within the Enterprise Technology Organization. This role supports a highly available, global life sciences environment and requires deep, hands-on expertise in Oracle database technologies, Exadata platforms, and Oracle GoldenGate replication, along with experience integrating Oracle workloads with AWS cloud services.

The ideal candidate will be a senior-level DBA who can contribute immediately with minimal ramp-up time, collaborate effectively with architects and peer DBAs, and support mission-critical enterprise database platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational support for enterprise Oracle database platforms in a shared services environment

• Perform hands-on administration, configuration, tuning, and troubleshooting of Oracle Exadata and ZFS infrastructure

• Design, implement, support, and optimize Oracle GoldenGate replication across Oracle Database, AWS S3, and Amazon Aurora

• Manage and tune Oracle RAC environments to ensure high availability and performance

• Perform advanced Oracle performance tuning, diagnostics, and optimization using Oracle internals

• Support Oracle database upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management

• Participate in cloud migration initiatives, including Oracle workloads migrating to AWS

• Develop and maintain shell scripts to automate database operations and monitoring

• Collaborate closely with senior DBAs, architects, and cross-functional teams to support enterprise initiatives

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience administering Oracle databases in large-scale enterprise environments

• 8+ years of experience with shell scripting for automation and operational support

• 8+ years of experience supporting Oracle Exadata and ZFS infrastructure

• 8+ years of experience working with Oracle RAC environments

• 5+ years of hands-on experience installing, troubleshooting, and tuning Oracle GoldenGate across:

  • Oracle Database

  • AWS S3

  • Amazon Aurora

• 5+ years of experience with Exadata Hybrid Columnar Compression (HCC)

• 5+ years of experience with Oracle database partitioning and automation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS technologies, including RDS and Aurora

• Experience working with Oracle Database Appliance (ODA)

• Experience supporting GoldenGate replication with SQL Server targets

• Experience implementing GoldenGate replication from PostgreSQL and MySQL source systems

Work Allocation (Approximate)

• 40% – Hands-on Exadata administration and GoldenGate replication setup and tuning

• 40% – Oracle internals, performance tuning, and optimization

• 20% – Oracle database upgrades and AWS cloud migrations
