We are currently seeking a Software Development Advisor to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

Role: Own the strategy, governance, and end-to-end architecture for modular, stateless, scalable microservices that align with CLIENT’s enterprise architecture for both customer-facing and internal applications.

Responsibilities:

Define service boundaries (DDD), APIs (REST/gRPC/GraphQL), data/consistency patterns, and 12-factor practices.

Set standards for containerized deployments (Docker), Kubernetes topology, service mesh, and API gateway usage.

Establish CI/CD blueprints with blue-green/canary strategies, rollout policies, and automated quality/security gates.

Enforce microservices operability: structured logging, distributed tracing, metrics, circuit breaking, retries/timeouts, and failover.

Govern security & compliance (mTLS, OAuth2/OIDC, secrets, SBOM, image scanning, policy-as-code).

Drive platform alignment with AWS/Azure, internal registry, and observability tooling for discovery and health checks.

Mentor teams, review designs/PRs, and optimize cost/performance; lead brownfield modernization and greenfield builds.

Requirements:

10+ years in software/platform engineering, 5+ years architecting microservices at scale.

Deep hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes, and at least one language stack (e.g., Java/Spring Boot, .NET, Node.js, Go).

Proven design/delivery of blue-green/canary pipelines and SRE/SLO practices.

Strong with logging/tracing (OpenTelemetry), API gateways, service mesh, and eventing (Kafka/RabbitMQ).

Cloud proficiency (AWS/Azure) and IaC (Terraform/Bicep); excellent stakeholder leadership and documentation.

Client compliance & notes (apply to all roles):

All microservices must be deployable in AWS/Azure; use CLIENT’s internal registry and observability for discovery/health.

Area is ~15–20% of volume; requires deep platform & DevSecOps alignment and experience in greenfield + brownfield environments.
