Sr. API Integration Developer

The successful candidate will create high-performing API integrations between the Smart Platform, vendor partners and customers.  These integrations will span the Smart Platform, IoT devices, associated APIs and databases.  The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in software project delivery, leading API development technical efforts using a variety of tools, languages, frameworks and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Leverage industry best practices and patterns in design, development, and testing of API integrations between the Smart Platform, IoT Device hardware and software systems.
• Collaborate closely with team members and business partners to determine new features and functionalities.
• Develop and maintain documentation and automated test suites to ensure high-quality code deliverables.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of work experience in software development.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English to collaborate across teams.
• Expertise in Python, Pytest, open-source libraries, RESTful services.
• Strong knowledge of SQL.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL database technologies, MongoDB preferred.
• Experience with API code optimization and performance tuning.
• Experience with Object serialization, JSON, Pickle
• A working knowledge of containerization technologies, Docker preferred.
• Strong teamwork focus and the ability to foster collaboration within and across teams.
• Experience with code collaboration platforms such as Bitbucket/Git, submitting/reviewing/approving pull/merge requests.
