We are seeking a Senior Application & Integration Architect with deep expertise in the UK/EU insurance sector, specifically within the London Market and Lloyd’s ecosystem. This role focuses on designing and delivering modern, cloud-native architectures that support complex claims processes across carriers, brokers, coverholders, and third-party service providers.You will play a key role in shaping claims transformation initiatives aligned to market modernisation efforts (e.g. Blueprint Two), enabling digital claims journeys, improved data exchange, and seamless integration across the insurance value chain.Key ResponsibilitiesLead architecture for end-to-end claims solutions across the London Market, including FNOL, claims agreement, settlement, and recovery across multi-party ecosystems.Design and implement API-first and event-driven architectures to support integration between insurers, brokers, TPAs, coverholders, and delegated authority partners.Architect solutions aligned to Lloyd’s Blueprint Two principles, including data-first design, standardised messaging, and digital processing of claims.Define integration strategies for core insurance and claims platforms (e.g. Guidewire, Duck Creek) alongside market platforms such as DXC (IMR), ECF (Electronic Claims File), and emerging digital services.Enable ingestion, processing, and validation of bordereaux and delegated authority data flows.Integrate with third-party services including loss adjusters, fraud detection providers, payment services, and document management/OCR platforms.Act as a trusted advisor in client engagements, supporting pre-sales, solution shaping, and stakeholder workshops across insurers and managing agents.Translate regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g. FCA, PRA, GDPR, Solvency II considerations) into secure and auditable architecture designs.Contribute to cloud-native architecture strategies using microservices, containerisation, and serverless patterns across AWS, Azure, or GCP.Collaborate with engineering teams across .NET, Java, Node.js, Spring Boot, React, Angular, and React Native ecosystems.Establish API governance, data standards, and integration patterns aligned with ACORD standards and London Market messaging frameworks.Provide architectural oversight through delivery, ensuring alignment with business outcomes and market standards.Required Skills & Experience10+ years of experience in solution, application, or integration architecture.Strong experience within the London Market / Lloyd’s ecosystem, including managing agents, syndicates, or broker interactions.Deep understanding of claims processes in specialty and commercial lines, including complex, multi-party claims agreement workflows.Experience with London Market platforms and processes such as ECF, IMR, and Blueprint Two initiatives.Proven experience integrating core systems with brokers, coverholders, and delegated authority models.Strong knowledge of ACORD data standards and messaging.Expertise in integration patterns: REST APIs, event-driven architectures, messaging systems (e.g. Kafka), and microservices.Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-native design principles.Familiarity with modern tech stacks:Backend: .NET, Java, Node.js, Spring BootFrontend: React, Angular, React NativeExperience with API management and integration platforms (e.g. MuleSoft, Apigee, Azure Integration Services).Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to operate across business, underwriting, claims, and IT teams.Proven ability to work across pre-sales, architecture design, and delivery leadership.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting Blueprint Two delivery or London Market modernisation programmes.Knowledge of delegated authority, bordereaux processing, and coverholder ecosystems.Experience with claims automation, AI-assisted triage, and document digitisation (OCR/IDP).Certifications in cloud platforms or architecture frameworks (TOGAF or similar).Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.Exposure to data platforms supporting regulatory reporting and claims analytics.What Success Looks LikeDelivery of modern, data-driven claims architectures aligned to Lloyd’s market transformation goals.Seamless integration across brokers, carriers, and third-party ecosystems with reduced manual processing.Improved claims lifecycle efficiency, transparency, and customer/broker experience.Recognition as a trusted advisor across London Market stakeholders.
