We are currently seeking a Systems Administration Senior Associate - Asset Mgmt to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

Role Summary

The Junior HAM (Hardware Asset Management) team is responsible for supporting the lifecycle management of IT hardware assets across the organization. This includes asset tracking, inventory control, compliance, reporting, and operational support under the guidance of senior asset managers.

Key Responsibilities

 Asset Lifecycle Management

  • Assist in tracking hardware assets from procurement to disposal
  • Update asset records in the asset management system (CMDB / HAM tools)
  • Maintain accurate inventory of laptops, desktops, servers, peripherals, and network devices
  • Support onboarding (allocation) and offboarding (recovery) of IT assets

Inventory & Audits

  • Perform regular physical and logical asset audits
  • Reconcile discrepancies between physical inventory and system records
  • Maintain audit logs and documentation
  • Support audit compliance (internal/external audits)

Asset Data Management

  • Ensure accurate data entry and update of asset attributes (serial number, user, location, status, warranty, etc.)
  • Monitor asset data quality and flag inconsistencies
  • Generate basic reports and dashboards

Procurement & Logistics Support

  • Assist in asset procurement tracking and vendor coordination
  • Support goods receipt verification and asset tagging
  • Coordinate asset movement across locations
  • Assist with warranty and repair tracking

Compliance & Governance

  • Follow HAM policies, standards, and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with IT governance and security requirements
  • Support asset disposal and data destruction processes

Incident & Request Support

  • Assist in handling user requests related to hardware assets
  • Support incident resolution involving asset-related issues
  • Coordinate with IT support teams for asset provisioning

Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare weekly/monthly asset reports
  • Maintain documentation for processes and SOPs
  • Track key metrics such as:
    • Asset utilization
    • Asset aging
    • Inventory accuracy

Required Skills

Technical Skills

  • Basic understanding of IT hardware (laptops, desktops, servers, accessories)
  • Familiarity with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.) – preferred
  • Knowledge of CMDB / asset management systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (lookup, pivot tables, reporting)

Soft Skills

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good organizational and documentation skills
  • Effective communication (written & verbal)
  • Ability to follow processes and procedures
  • Team-oriented with willingness to learn

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1–2 years of experience in IT support / asset management / inventory roles
