We are currently seeking a Unix L3 Systems Administration Specialist to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

Unix L3 position JD:

• Hands on experience in Linux System administration (RedHat 6/7/8/9) including network and SAN configuration, OS upgrades, Patch installation.
• Hands on experience on layered disk management products - VXVM/VXFS/LVM.
• Hands on experience in configuration and troubleshooting with high Availability management products VCS, CVM/CFS (Linux), HACMP (AIX)
• Hands on experience on ASM Disk addition and troubleshooting with Oracle rac cluster.
• Hands-on experience on Linux Performance monitoring and Tuning.
• Knowledge of security, scheduler, backup, performance monitor product like Powerbroker, VERITAS NetBackup, Autosys, ITM, Perform/BMC.
• Able to work well with multiple stake holders in migrating / deploying applications to UNIX OS
• Setup application environment, assist Application team in verifying application environment, troubleshoot application problems as and when application encounter problem.
• Knowledge on AIX and Solaris administration, Linux VMWare VM is preferred
• Hands on experience in planning and execution for migrating/relocating servers within and across Data Centers, Hands on/knowledge of server migration tools like Ansible.
• Ability to design and implement automated test.
• Knowledge on automation tool like Ansible/chef.
• Hand on Experience on SAN Migration.
• Scripting capabilities - shell/perl
• Focused on configuration governance on a wide scale environment.
• Be proficient in creating readable documentation
• Have an understanding of mass storage SAN/NAS solutions
• Provide expert support, analysis, and research into exceptionally complex
• Willing to work on NAM Shift hours and Weekend support.

Essential qualifications:

• Strong self-management and readiness to exercise own initiative
• Red Hat Linux 6/7/8/9 at a certifiable level; Hands on experience in build and configuration of Veritas Info scale cluster(VCS)
• Analytical and disciplined approach to problem solving
• Ability to remain calm and objective in a high-pressure environment
• Excellent communication, team coordination, interpersonal skills and customer care skills are mandatory
• Fluent English

Additional qualifications:

• Demonstrated ability to use problem solving techniques such as root cause analysis to resolve issues.
• Knowledge and understanding of naming services such as Active Directory and LDAP
• Knowledge of HPE and Dell hardware (x86_64) and RAID concept
• Experience of customer support in a time-critical environment
• Experience of working in a heavily controls-focused environment
• Experience in the Banking & Financial sector
