Responsibility

 

Responsibility for handling the complete Direct tax matters of the Company, in close collaboration with the Accounting and other departments under the supervision of the Finance Senior Director.

 

Description of Principal Duties and Accountabilities

 

  • Tax Compliance and Control

 

    • Ensure timely payment of all taxes (Advance or Estimated taxes).
    • Responsible for ensuring to file all direct tax returns in a timely manner.
    • Able to regularly interact with outside consultants, understand the changes in the tax laws and review the impact of such changes on the company’s position and policies. Make adequate arrangements to comply with those changes.
    • Managing Statutory cum Tax Audit including Transfer Pricing reporting.

 

  • Tax Litigation, Inspection and Assessment’s review.

 

    • Assist the company in performing all litigation and assessment matters with all Direct tax authorities.
    • Ensure a timely response is provided to the tax authorities in order to avoid any penal consequences.

 

  • Tax Reporting & Accounting Interface

 

    • Tax Accounting Process for parent company reporting under IFRS on quarterly basis including tax provisioning calculation, reporting of income tax contingencies (ASC 740-10) and return to provision true-up reviews etc.
    • Assist the overseas Tax Groups in providing inputs and information / documents from India for parent co’s assessment / reviews and filings.
    • Responsible for computing and accounting all the taxes including corporate tax, Deferred tax.
    • Maintaining tax/statutory compliances checklist and ensuring all compliances well in time.
    • Maintain an update of various changes in tax laws, case laws etc. and analyze impact on company and group entities.

 

 

Qualifications/ Experience Required

 

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant preferably 8-12 years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong accounting and analytical skills.#LI-INAPAC
