Job Description
The Senior Telecommunications Analyst Programmer, specializing in programming architecture, is responsible for analyzing, designing, and configuring scripts and web applications to automate and manage the organization’s data networks, systems, and services to meet business needs. This role supports the network architecture and infrastructure across LAN, WAN, wireless, voice, mobile, security, access points, load balancers, and RFID solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage network management software for monitoring and device installation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex programming issues related to network operations.
- Maintain and expand a broad skill set in network systems, switching architecture, and cabling.
- Conduct work within structured environments, using organized approaches and standardized tools, methods, and applications.
- Maintain and update legacy applications to support new hardware and network architectures.
- Translate older tools into modern programming languages and develop new tools to adapt to the evolving network environment.
- Participate in a rotating schedule for user support within the team.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Perl and Python programming languages (experience with network packages is a plus).
- Experience using APIs to interface with network devices.
- Comfortable working in Linux environments (specifically RHEL), including shell scripting and crontab usage.
- Familiarity with database usage and development (MS SQL in use).
- Experience with version control systems (Git).
- Additional useful languages: JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
- Knowledge of Ethernet Network LAN/WAN technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
