We are currently seeking a Testing Engineering Advisor to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

Project Overview:

Mizuho Bank is seeking a highly experienced Senior Test Analyst with deep expertise in the Payments domain to join our QA team. This role is critical to ensuring the quality and readiness of our payments systems. The successful candidate will lead and execute testing activities across multiple phases, working closely with Development, Business Analysts, and Business stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive system test plans, test cases, and test scripts aligned with the upgrade scope.
  • Drive System Integration Testing (SIT) across payment channels including:
  • MultiCash Online (MultiCash On)
  • EBICS
  • MCFT
  • Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and project managers to understand requirements and translate them into test scenarios.
  • Perform system integration testing (SIT) and support user acceptance testing (UAT) phases.
  • Conduct Non-Functional Testing (NFT) including:
  • Performance benchmarking
  • Response time validation
  • Certificate flow testing
  • Execute Conformance Testing as required, ensuring compliance with:
  • PSD2 RTS
  • Article 32(2) reporting standards
  • Identify, document, and track defects using standard defect management tools.
  • Participate in test reviews, walkthroughs, and sign-off processes.
  • Manage Regression Testing and support parallel-run validation to ensure system stability and consistency.

 

 

  • Provide regular status updates and contribute to test reporting and metrics.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Technical & Testing Expertise:
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 3 years in payments domain.
  • Strong understanding of payment systems, protocols, and regulatory standards (e.g., PSD2).
  • Proven experience in end-to-end testing across complex integration landscapes.
  • Hands-on experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA).
  • Familiarity with certificate-based authentication flows and performance testing tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead testing efforts in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in Agile or hybrid project delivery environments.
  • Exposure to automation testing tools or frameworks.
  • ISTQB or equivalent testing certification.
  • Knowledge of SWIFT, SEPA, or other international payment standards.
