We are currently seeking a System Integration Advisor to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

Project Test Manager

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Drive the overall vision and strategy for quality and strive to continuously improve the quality processes by assessing testing efforts at various stages of development and at various layers of the applications and by researching emerging tools and technologies.
  • Leverage technical experience and depth to help to engineer bring more automation and efficiency to the development process, for higher frequency high-quality releases.
  • Ability to manage QA Engineers/Teams effectively and efficiently in multiple locations across the geographical locations (mainly onsite-offshore – UK/India model)
  • Create a culture of transparency, ownership, collaboration, accountability and quality
  • Build a strong team with Quality Engineers to improve the quality in products and to help build new automation frameworks and maintain and improve existing ones.
  • Reinforce best practices and influence and empower the development team to build quality into everything they do, driving a culture of quality across supported organizations.
  • Work cross-functionally with various stakeholders including release managers, test leads, and other suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Routinely interface with senior business leaders and other senior members of the team.
  • Demonstrate operational excellence, by way of managing continuous improvement programs and implementing standard tools and best practices.
  • Be an advocate of Quality Assurance, Continuous Improvement, and industry-recognized Best Practices.
  • Drive and influence a culture of quality across all levels
  • Managing team’s performance of delegated responsibility
  • establishing formal reporting arrangements on program or project progress
  • defining criteria for control and management of the program or project
  • receiving and reviewing detailed reports on the program or project from the program manager
  • ensuring the Test team receives decisions on time
  • establishing a mechanism to ensure regular dialogue with stakeholders, onshore co-ordinators, release managers, 3rd party vendors to promote problem-solving, team working and risk-sharing
  • Tracking associated project progress, highlighting risks, mitigation, tracking & reporting
  • People Management
  • Contributes to and embeds testing frameworks and methodologies
  • Stakeholder and Partner Management
  • Leads activities with minimal supervision and demonstrates strong initiative
  • Establishes own milestones and delegates assignments
  • Successfully manages ambiguity and change

 

 

SKILLS/ QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Minimum 10-15 years of managing complex programs in a matrix structure
  • Telecom Domain knowledge (must have)
  • ISTQB Advanced Test Manager certification
  • A track record as a self-starter, who enjoys daily problem solving, and who welcomes the opportunity to shape and execute ambiguous work streams as the situation demands
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Be able to evidence flexibility, technical know-how, and a willingness to learn quickly
  • Experience in estimation, planning and managing test phases
  • Sound test process knowledge and expertise in the testing life cycle
  • Effectively communicates with managers, peers, business partners at all levels of the organization
  • Experience across all phases of the software testing life cycle
  • Proven relationship management/engagement skills and ability to communicate effectively with different audiences
  • Experience in coordinating with multi-vendor teams and On-shore Off-shore teams
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, the ability to prioritize requests and workload accordingly, and meet deadlines
