We are currently seeking a Z2_Consultant - Workday to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

Key Responsibilities

1. Tenant Architecture & Organization Management

  • Supervisory Organizations: Design and maintain complex Org structures, including Subordinate Orgs, Cost Centers, and Region hierarchies.
  • Staffing Models: Configure and manage Position Management vs. Job Management models based on departmental needs.
  • Foundation Tables: Maintain Job Profiles, Job Families, Management Levels, and Custom Organizations.

2. Business Process (BP) Engineering

  • Configuration: Build and optimize end-to-end BPs (Hire, Terminate, Change Job, Move Worker, etc.).
  • Condition Rules: Create advanced logic-based rules to route approvals to the correct stakeholders based on Org, Country, or Compensation Grade.
  • Automation: Implement notifications, help text, and checklists to enhance the user experience.

3. Security & Access Control

  • Security Groups: Design and maintain Role-Based, User-Based, and Intersection security groups.
  • Domain & Action Permissions: Manage the Functional Area Security Policy (FASP) to ensure data privacy and compliance with GDPR/SOX.

4. Data Orchestration & Reporting

  • Calculated Fields: Build complex logic (e.g., Evaluate Expression, Lookup Value as of Date, True/False conditions) to drive BP routing and reporting.
  • EIBs (Enterprise Interface Builders): Lead mass data loads for reorganizations, acquisitions, or annual data clean-ups.
  • Reporting: Create Advanced and Matrix reports to track organizational health and HCM metrics.

Technical Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 4–6 years of hands-on Workday configuration (not just end-user experience).
  • Core Mastery: Deep understanding of the Workday Object Model (how Workers, Positions, and Organizations interlink).
  • Problem Solving: Proven ability to perform "Root Cause Analysis" on stuck processes or integration failures.
  • Certification: Workday Pro or Partner Certification in Core HCM is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

1. Benefit Plan Configuration

  • Structure: Build and maintain Benefit Groups, Benefit Plans, and Benefit Programs.
  • Rates & Coverage: Configure complex coverage targets, individual and combined coverage limits, and employee/employer cost-sharing rules (Rate Tables).
  • Evidence of Insurability (EOI): Set up rules that trigger medical underwriting requirements for life and disability plans.

2. Enrollment & Event Management

  • Enrollment Events: Configure Benefit Event Types (Birth, Marriage, Termination) and the associated Enrollment Event Rules.
  • Passive Events: Manage automated age-out rules or eligibility changes that don't require employee action.
  • Open Enrollment (OE): Lead the technical setup, testing, and execution of the annual OE cycle, including the "Close & Update" process.

3. Eligibility & Logic

  • Eligibility Rules: Create sophisticated Benefit Eligibility Rules based on worker attributes (Full-time/Part-time, Union status, Region, etc.).
  • Calculated Fields: Use logic to determine "Derived Compensation" for life insurance or disability premiums (e.g., 2x Salary).

4. Integrations & Compliance

  • Cloud Connect for Benefits (CCB): Troubleshooting the delivery of data to carriers (e.g., Cigna, Bupa, Kaiser).
  • Affordable Care Act (ACA): Manage the 1095-C generation and tracking (for US-based roles).
  • Auditing: Perform regular audits of enrollment data against carrier invoices to ensure billing accuracy.

Technical Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: 3–5 years of specific Workday Benefits configuration.
  • Functional Knowledge: Deep understanding of HIPAA, COBRA, ERISA (if US-based) or relevant local statutory benefit laws.
  • Data Mastery: Proficiency in using EIBs for mass benefit elections and adjustments.
  • Testing: Strong experience in "Benefit Event Testing” knowing how to proxy as a worker to validate enrollment flow.
