We are currently seeking a Z2_Data Center Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

We are looking for a skilled Data Center Infrastructure Engineer with strong technical knowledge of Data Center infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers, storage, SAN, WAN networks, and firewall technologies. The candidate should have good communication skills and experience in IT Service Management processes, including Incident Management, Change Management, CMDB validation, SOP creation, and technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support Data Center infrastructure and day-to-day technical operations.
  • Monitor and maintain Physical and Virtual Servers to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Support server infrastructure components, including memory, storage, and capacity requirements.
  • Manage and support Storage Area Network (SAN) infrastructure and connectivity.
  • Work with network teams to support and troubleshoot WAN and Data Center network connectivity.
  • Coordinate infrastructure provisioning, storage, and network-related requirements.
  • Work with network and security teams on Firewall requirements and access management.
  • Handle and coordinate Incident Management activities related to Data Center, Server, Storage, and Network infrastructure.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure incidents within defined SLA timelines.
  • Coordinate with technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders for timely incident resolution and escalation.
  • Support Change Management activities by reviewing, planning, coordinating, and implementing infrastructure changes.
  • Assess change impacts, risks, dependencies, and ensure appropriate approvals are obtained before implementation.
  • Prepare and validate implementation and rollback plans for infrastructure changes.
  • Update and validate CMDB (Configuration Management Database) records to ensure accurate configuration information.
  • Participate in change review meetings and CAB discussions, where required.
  • Create, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), operational runbooks, and technical documentation.
  • Ensure all infrastructure processes, configurations, incident resolutions, and changes are properly documented.
  • Review and improve existing SOPs and process documents to maintain operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Support IT operational and ERP-related processes, as applicable.
  • Ensure adherence to ITIL processes, organizational policies, and standard operating procedures.
  • Coordinate with technical, business, and finance stakeholders for infrastructure-related activities.
  • Prepare regular status reports and technical documentation for stakeholders.

Required Skills

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of Data Center Infrastructure and Operations.
  • Experience with Physical and Virtual Server management.
  • Knowledge of server hardware components, including memory and storage.
  • Hands-on knowledge of SAN (Storage Area Network) and Storage infrastructure.
  • Understanding of WAN and Data Center Network connectivity.
  • Understanding of Firewall and infrastructure security concepts.
  • Experience in Incident Management and incident resolution.
  • Experience in Change Management and change implementation processes.
  • Knowledge of CMDB validation and Configuration Management.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining SOPs, runbooks, and technical documentation.
  • Understanding of ITIL / ITSM processes.
  • Exposure to ERP and IT operational processes.
  • Strong stakeholder coordination and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in Data Center migration or transformation projects.
  • Knowledge of Problem Management and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or similar platforms.
  • Understanding of SLA management and operational reporting.
  • Experience in knowledge management and process documentation.

Experience

  • 3–8 years of relevant experience in Data Center Infrastructure, Server Administration, Storage, or Network Operations.

Note: Candidates with hands-on expertise in Data Center Infrastructure, Servers, Storage, SAN, WAN Networking, Incident Management, Change Management, CMDB validation, SOP creation, and technical documentation will be preferred.
