We are currently seeking a Tester to join our team in Heredia, Heredia, Costa Rica.

Tester

The Tester thoroughly evaluates the software products according to the business standards or function requirements.

Position overview

The Tester performs advanced administrative/operational/customer support duties that require independent initiative and judgment. May apply intermediate mathematical skills.

Position's General Duties and Tasks:

• The Tester isolates, reproduces, and tracks defects and verifies fixes.
• Develops test data and procedures for ensuring the software products meet organization standards and end-user requirements.
• Very familiar with the software development cycle and quality assurance methodologies.
• Decisions are typically focused on methods, tactics and processes for completing administrative tasks/projects.
• Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in prioritizing requests and interpreting and adapting procedures, processes, and techniques, and works under limited guidance due to previous experience/breadth and depth of knowledge of administrative processes and organizational knowledge.
• Mapping current tables to a CSV format, creating new SQL jobs for each CSV file to be generated from the previously mapped tables.  The CSV will be placed into SFTP sites, named accordingly, and archived.  As well as additional back and forth of files from one environment into another environment (via SFTP)

Qualifications

Must have Skills:

• 7 years of technical experience
• Isolates, reproduces, and tracks defects and verifies fixes.
• Develops test data and procedures for ensuring the software products meet organization standards and end-user requirements.
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.
• SQL SSIS SFTP and file mover processes
• Important piece - all to be automated.
