.NET Web Application Developer

We are seeking a skilled .NET Web Application Developer to support the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of healthcare applications. 

Position overview

The role involves close collaboration with healthcare business stakeholders, project managers, and technical analysts to deliver reliable, scalable solutions. The developer will ensure all applications comply with healthcare regulatory standards, uphold data privacy requirements, and align with organizational objectives.

Position's General Duties and Tasks:

• Web Application Development
  • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain web applications using ASP.NET, C#, HTML, CSS, jQuery, and .NET technologies. Build robust, scalable solutions that meet organizational needs while ensuring adaptability as business and technical requirements evolve.
• Application Support and Improvement
  • Provide ongoing application support by addressing defects, implementing enhancements, and driving system improvements. Perform maintenance and troubleshooting activities to ensure optimal system performance, stability, and reliability.
• Project Collaboration
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts, and Healthcare Subject Matter Experts to create detailed project plans, develop accurate estimates, and establish realistic delivery timelines. Effective teamwork ensures successful project execution and timely completion of deliverables.
• Requirements Analysis
  • Analyze and assess healthcare business requirements and system needs to recommend appropriate technology solutions. This process ensures that proposed approaches are aligned with organizational goals and address the specific needs of stakeholders.
• Technical Approach Evaluation
  • Evaluate alternative technical approaches to meet project objectives, with particular consideration for reusability, data sharing, performance, and security. Identifying the most effective solution is crucial for delivering high-quality outcomes.
• Design Participation
  • Participate in both high-level and detailed design phases for initiatives ranging from small-scale to large-scale projects. Ensure that application design adheres to HIPAA-compliant data handling, incorporates appropriate security controls, and upholds privacy standards. This includes working with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive design documentation and system architecture.
• Risk and Issue Management
  • Identify, track, and resolve technical risks and issues throughout the project life cycle. Proactive risk management helps maintain project momentum and ensures the timely resolution of challenges.
• Documentation and Standards Compliance
  • Contribute to technical design documents, specifications, and architecture artifacts in compliance with enterprise standards. Clear and thorough documentation supports effective communication and project continuity.
• Solution Optimization
  • Collaborate with technical stakeholders to determine the optimal mix of in-house development, system integrations, and third party vendor solutions, if any. This collaborative approach ensures that solutions are tailored to organizational requirements and resources.
• Quality Assurance
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, secure, and maintainable code by adhering to healthcare regulatory requirements, best practices, and coding standards. Perform code reviews and support quality assurance and testing activities to maintain consistent standards across deliverables.

• Strategic Technical Solutions
  • Utilize industry-standard tools and techniques to deliver strategic technical solutions aligned with healthcare business needs. This includes leveraging modern development methodologies and technologies to achieve project goals efficiently and effectively.

Qualifications

Must have Skills:

• The role requires strong hands-on experience with approximately 8 years of experience in C# and ASP.NET, covering both .NET Framework and .NET Core.
• Candidates should have hands-on experience working with relational databases, including writing optimized queries, stored procedures, and ensuring efficient data access patterns within applications.
• Solid, at least 7 years of experience with front-end technologies, is essential, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• A good understanding of web security principles is necessary, especially regarding the protection of healthcare data. This knowledge ensures compliance with regulations and the safeguarding of sensitive patient and clinical information.
• Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid approaches, is required. This ensures that project management and delivery processes align with organizational goals.
• Demonstrating independent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills is essential for resolving complex technical issues and ensuring the delivery of effective solutions.
• Ability to work closely with Business Analysts, Project Managers, and healthcare stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Mentor junior developers provide technical guidance and contribute to design discussions and architectural decisions in medium to large-scale initiatives.

Nice to Have:

• Healthcare domain experience (provider, payer, clinical, or health IT environments)
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, PHI, or similar data privacy standards
• Exposure to Java alongside .NET technologies
• Experience working in regulated enterprise environments
• Understanding of secure APIs, data encryption, and healthcare interoperability concepts

Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
