Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Looker Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable business intelligence solutions using Looker and modern data platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data modeling, dashboard development, SQL, and data visualization, enabling stakeholders to make data-driven decisions through accurate and actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations in Looker.
  • Build and manage LookML data models, views, explores, and derived tables.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics requirements.
  • Optimize Looker performance, query efficiency, and data model scalability.
  • Develop reusable data assets and establish BI best practices.
  • Work closely with data engineering teams to ensure data quality, governance, and consistency.
  • Create and maintain documentation for dashboards, data models, and reporting processes.
  • Troubleshoot reporting issues and provide ongoing support to business users.
  • Implement security, access controls, and data governance standards within Looker.
  • Participate in testing, deployment, and continuous improvement of analytics solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience in Looker development and LookML modeling.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts.
  • Experience working with cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, or Azure Synapse.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT, and dimensional modeling concepts.
  • Experience creating dashboards, reports, and KPI scorecards.
  • Knowledge of Git version control and deployment practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), especially BigQuery.
  • Knowledge of Python or scripting languages for data automation.
  • Understanding of data governance, data quality, and security frameworks.
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
  • Looker certifications are a plus.
