We are currently seeking a Playwright Automation Tester to join our team in Bengaluru, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).
Automation Test Engineer with expertise in Playwright (JavaScript or TypeScript). JAVA, Selenium Web driver, TestNG, Cucumber.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and design patterns.
- Knowledge of API testing (REST, HTTP methods, JSON).
- Experience with test runners and reporting tools
- Maintenance of present regression suites and test scripts.
- Experience with version control tools like Jenkins, Github, Bitbucket or GitLab
- Review Test reports and report defects.
Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled Playwright Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for modern web applications. The ideal candidate has strong experience in end‑to‑end testing, understands web technologies, and collaborates closely with developers, product owners, BAs and DevOps teams to ensure high‑quality software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain end‑to‑end automated test scripts using Playwright
- Build and enhance test frameworks using TypeScript / JavaScript
- Automate cross‑browser testing
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing
- Integrate Playwright tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand requirements and test scenarios
- Debug test failures, analyze root causes, and report defects clearly
- Maintain test data and reusable test utilities
- Ensure tests follow best practices, coding standards, and version control
- Contribute to test strategy, test planning, and automation best practices
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong hands‑on experience with Playwright
- Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript
- Good understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Experience with UI automation and end‑to‑end testing
- Knowledge of test design techniques
- Hands‑on experience with Git or other version control systems
- Basic understanding of REST APIs and API testing
- Experience running tests in headless mode and parallel execution
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
