We are currently seeking a Project Program Director to join our team in Bengaluru, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).
Project Program Director
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Senior IT management professional to lead our EMR Practice. This role requires a strategic leader with deep expertise in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, particularly Cerner, and a proven track record in managing large-scale application support & enhacement engagements. The ideal candidate will drive practice growth, oversee delivery excellence, and actively participate in deal shaping, RFP responses, and client relationship management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Practice Leadership:
- Define and execute the strategic roadmap for the EMR/Cerner practice.
- Build and mentor a high-performing team of EMR specialists, architects, and delivery managers.
- Drive innovation and thought leadership in EMR solutions and healthcare IT.
- Expert ability to lead global project teams of large scope and high complexity.
- Business Development & Deal Management:
- Lead and contribute to RFPs, proposals, and deal negotiations for large and complex healthcare IT engagements.
- Collaborate with sales and account teams to identify new opportunities and expand existing client relationships.
- Present solutions and value propositions to C-level stakeholders.
- Delivery Oversight:
- Ensure successful delivery of application development and support engagements for EMR systems, including Cerner.
- Expert ability to ensure that effective project controls are in place to monitor project or program performance.
- Manage large-scale, multi-year programs with a focus on quality, timelines, and cost efficiency.
- Implement best practices for governance, risk management, and compliance.
- Establishes operational objectives for managers and/or teams of professionals across assigned areas.
- Client Engagement:
- Act as a trusted advisor to healthcare clients, understanding their business needs and aligning technology solutions.
- Drive customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships through proactive engagement and delivery excellence.
- Expert facilitation and communication skills.
- Financial & Operational Management:
- Own P&L for the practice/ account.
- Monitor key performance metrics and ensure profitability and growth targets are met.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 15+ years in IT services with at least 8+ years in healthcare IT and EMR systems.
- Strong expertise in EMR and related healthcare applications.
- Proven track record in managing large and complex engagements (multi-million-dollar programs).
- Skills:
- Excellent leadership and team-building capabilities.
- Strong business acumen with ability to manage P&L.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills for engaging with senior stakeholders.
- Ability to lead deal shaping, RFP responses, and solutioning for healthcare clients.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred).
