We are currently seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our team in Bengaluru, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

The role

The focus of a senior Data Engineer build and support enhance all parts of the Enterprise Data Platform.  The role also involves working closely with the rest of the delivery team which comprises of Business Analysts, Testers, Delivery Managers and the business stakeholders.  The right candidate will be able to:Expert knowledge of data modelling and understanding of different data structures and their benefits and limitations under particular use casesHave experience of working with partners and business stakeholdersHave technical experience of Databricks and Microsoft data warehouse developer (SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS)Capable of solving complex data problemsMust be able to work both independently and as a member of a team to deliver enterprise class data warehouse solutions.We are looking for a skilled, motivated and analytical individual with a strong leadership skills (Good communication, Integrity and accountability, relationship building, good decision making and critical thinking) background in data warehousing who can work closely with the existing team to successfully deliver the requirements set out in the portfolio roadmap.

Technical Skills

Development background with exposure to Data Warehousing at scale on both cloud and on-premiseExperience developing ETL solutions in Databricks including Python and SQL as well as SQL Server including SSIS & T-SQLExposure to DW development practices (code & configuration management, build processes)Strong understanding of enterprise level data warehouse architectures, data modelling concepts, and ETL/ELT best practicesAbility to take business requirements and work with other team members to estimate and design end-to-end solutionsExperience working in Agile delivery models with CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments across data platforms.Our nice to haves:Insurance industry experienceExposure to BI reporting toolsets – ideally Power BIDemonstrable experience in mentoring or supporting the development of junior team membersCapability to architect highly scalable distributed systems, using different tools
