We are currently seeking a Senior Essbase Support Engineer - Financials Domain to join our team in Bengaluru, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

Job Summary:

As a Senior Essbase Support Engineer, you will be responsible for the support, maintenance, and enhancement of Oracle Hyperion Essbase applications used for financial planning, budgeting, consolidation, and reporting. You will work closely with finance and IT teams to ensure system reliability, performance, and data integrity across environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Essbase Application Support & Maintenance

• Provide expert-level support for ASO/BSO cube structures, including data loads, calculations, and reporting.
• Maintain and troubleshoot calculation scripts, load rules, metadata, and user access controls.
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify optimization opportunities.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as metadata updates, security administration, and health checks.
• Manage service requests and incidents, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to SLAs.

Financial Systems Integration

• Collaborate with FP&A and finance teams to gather requirements and enhance reporting models.
• Support integrations with ERP/GL systems using FDMEE/ODI or similar tools.
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency across financial systems.

Automation & Scripting

• Automate data loads and system processes using MaxL, SQL, and shell scripting.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and technical documentation for operational processes.

Reporting & Analysis

• Design and deliver financial reports using Hyperion Financial Reporting Studio and Smart View.
• Support financial planning cycles including budgeting, forecasting, and consolidations.

Collaboration & Leadership

• Act as a technical lead and SME for Essbase and related planning tools.
• Mentor junior engineers and review deliverables for performance and design quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align application design with business objectives.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 9+ years of experience in Oracle Hyperion Essbase (ASO/BSO cube development and support).
• Strong expertise in calc scripts, MDX, MaxL, SQL, and performance tuning.
• Experience with Hyperion Planning, HFM, and FDMEE/ODI.
• Solid understanding of financial concepts (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Proficiency in scripting (Shell, Python) and automation tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or related field.
• Experience in Agile environments and familiarity with reporting tools like Power BI or Tableau.
• Certifications in Oracle Hyperion or related technologies are a plus.
