We are currently seeking a .NET NED Developer/Windows Administrator to join our team in Bethesda, MD, Maryland (US-MD), United States (US).

Job Title: .NET NED Developer/Windows Administrator


Job Summary:  The Windows Developer is a member of the project team who takes responsibility for implementing parts of the system architecture using best practices. This includes upgrading Windows servers from 2012R2 to 2019 and the application from .NET v4.7 to v4.8. It also includes performing unit and functional testing as needed. The candidate will also be expected to provide architectural support, and advice regarding Windows components of the system.

  • Demonstrate ability to work with system owners, technical teams, and functional teams to design, implement, test, and validate a system.
  • Proactively work with business analysts to understand desired system requirements and write functional and technical specifications.
  • Upgrade Windows server from 2012R2 to 2019 or later.
  • Upgrade application from .NET framework v4.7 to latest .NET version.
  • Upgrade Internet Information Services (IIS) 8.5 to IIS 10.0.
  • Perform IIS administration – installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Design and develop new code and/or support operations, maintenance, and enhancements of existing code.
  • Apply industry best practices to address and review system requirements, business processes, changing development and technology environments.
  • Conduct multiple levels of testing including unit, system, integration and performance.
  • Estimate level of effort and plan work accordingly.
  • Work independently and take initiative to drive tasks and issues to resolution.
  • Troubleshoot issue and work on initiatives by applying good analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Enforce system development best practices using configuration management tools (Subversion).
  • Experience Business Process Management (BPM) software is a plus.


Required Skills: 

  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Minimum – 7+ years of experience in development and system integration
  • Minimum – 7 + years of experience with .NET, IIS and Windows Server
  • Experience upgrading .NET frameworks, IIS and Windows Server 2012R2 to 2019 or later
  • Add experience working with version control systems such as subversion or git
  • Experience with Java and Java-based technologies
  • Experience with Oracle database systems
  • Experience implementing/building automation and Continuous Integration (CI): Jenkins or other CI servers, MS Build, Octopus Deploy or other build and deployment systems
  • Solid understanding of all parts of Software Engineering (e.g. Requirements, Design, Implementation, Testing) and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Experience working in agile or iterative SDLCs
  • Experience with Object Oriented Technologies
  • Very strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment

In compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rules, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position who works in Colorado is $90,000 - $120,000. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on a number of factors, including work location, relevant experience (internal or external), technical skills, and other qualifications. The candidate may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on personal and/or company performance.
