We are currently seeking a highly motivated, flexible, organized, and detail-orientated Financial Analyst to join our team in North Bethesda, MD, where all team members are currently remote.

This position services Loan Repayment Program applicants by providing the first line support to stakeholders including program applicants, their mentors, referees and other business officials, program participants, and other inquirers. On average, we support 2,800 annual application submissions, which are each vetted and processed throughout the applications cycle


Job Description

This role is responsible for creating, tracking, and resolving customer ticket items, ensuring service delivery, processing, and handling of programmatic concerns such as application and financial vetting, service verifications, terminations, change of institutions, and other applicant and participant status changes.  Responsibilities include:

  • Responds to customer inquiries via phone and email; interacts with customers to solve issues, provide comprehensive programmatic information, and assist with the application process
  • Create, track, and resolve customer tickets
  • Organize and analyze program information using database tools and spreadsheets to prepare management reports
  • Perform loan portfolio analysis (promissory notes, principal balances, access penalties) and analyze payments made directly to lenders
  • Identifies and resolves issues around nonstandard pending transactions
  • Review sensitive customer financial and loan documents
  • Assists in preparing SOPs for new process.
  • Utilizes best practice processes around work assignments, project management, and quality of output
  • Ensures accurate and timely processing of transactions to meet or exceed client service level agreements.
  • Work under general supervision; typically reporting to a supervisor or manager.
  • Performs quality audit on accounts.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 1 - 2 years relevant experience
  • Experience or education in the fields of Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or Health Care Administration, highly desired
  • Previous professional experience in a general office environment preferred. 
  • US Citizen of Permanent Residents only.  Applicants selected will be subject to a Public Trust Background Security Investigation and need to meet eligibility requirements for access to sensitive information.
