We are currently seeking a [[QA Automation Test Engineer]] to join our team in [[Bethesda]], [[Maryland]], [[USA]].

Seeking a detail-oriented Test Engineer / Quality Assurance candidate with good analytical skills to join our great team at Bethesda MD and Tysons Corner, VA. You will be supporting our corporate office as well as supporting our project/customer that supports the NIH Ethics Program by enabling NIH staff to meet the required statutes and regulations governing the ethical behavior of Executive Branch employees of the Federal Government through a secure, web-based workflow management. Responsibilities:

 

  • Coordinate/conduct testing in a dual testing environment (50% - 80% Automation Testing 20% - 50% Manual Testing)
  • Develop automated tests to augment manual testing
  • Design, code, test and maintain automation test scripts for applications across multiple environments
  • Execute automated acceptance and regression tests to ensure business and technical requirements traceability and complete test coverage
  • Work with development teams to understand features and establish test strategies, design comprehensive test plans and robust test cases
  • Identify, diagnose, report, and assist developers in resolving defects and verifying bug fixes
  • Manage/update/maintain requirements, use cases, test cases, traceability matrix, user manual, regression and load test results, and other support documents using a variety of tools including JIRA.
  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable automation
  • Able to conduct migration testing to verify data integrity, functional and non-functional aspects of the application
  •  Support users with reproducing and investigating issues identified in UAT and production. Respond to users with workarounds until a permanent solution can be implemented.
  • Experience/familiarity with unit testing frameworks such as NUnit 
  • Document system defects in appropriate systems such as JIRA and track to closure
  • Knowledge of continuous integration tools such as Jenkins
  • Work closely with developers during appropriate stages of project and participate in all phases of the scrum process
  • Able to clearly communicate and articulate, both written and verbally, detailed specifications
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Able to work in a dynamic, fast paced and often changing environment
  • Perform quality assurance review of deliverables for both, internal and external delivery.
  • Follow-up with customers and technical support staff on the status of resolution of helpdesk tickets to ensure problems are resolved on a timely basis
  • Effectively communicate insights to cross-functional team members

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • At least 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures used in the business analysis and design.
  • Should be able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly, both oral and written, and interpret regulatory guidance and identified vulnerabilities to a wide audience.
  • Strong communications skills, both oral and written.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience in Office 365, SharePoint Online, ServiceNow and JIRA experience is a plus.
  • Hands on experience with NUnit, Specflow, Selenium, Gherkins language
  • Experience testing a web application and familiarity in programming concepts. .Net is preferred.
  • Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of Quality Assurance.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality. 
  • Previous Government, NIH, HHS work experience is a plus.
  • Experience in all parts of Software Engineering (Example: requirements, design, testing and implementations) and the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Experience working onsite with government client.
