We are currently seeking a Data Architect to join our team in Boise, Idaho (US-ID), United States (US).

Overview of Job

A Senior Data Management Architect will be part of the Data Management Practice team and provide consultative and advisory services on client end-to-end data processes. The Senior Data Management Architect will participate in client requirements definition, analysis, and the design of logical and physical data models, data analytic assessments, metadata management, and overall data governance. This person designs and engineers scalable, integrated solutions, including data structures (data warehouses, data lakes and data marts), applications, and infrastructure to improve data quality and data flow, and maintain security at or above Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Evaluate client need and define the scope and sizing of data management work.
  • Provide data management recommendations from client engagement workshops, existing applications, data sources, documentation, and business need.
  • Responsible for translating business requirements into technology solutions.
  • Use modeling techniques including Data Flow, ER Diagram, Conceptual, Logical, Physical, and Metamodels.
  • Capture technical metadata through data modeling tools
  • Analyze and translate business requirements into conceptual and fully detailed logical and physical data models.
  • Work with solutions architects, subject matter experts, and data stewards and lead data discovery discussions to capture business requirements and map requirements to logical and physical data modeling solutions.
  • Conduct data model reviews with team members.
  • Identify and document business logic & mapping rules needed to transform data before loading it into the target system.
  • Anticipating possible problems and resolving them before they impact users when possible
  • Ensure database designs efficiently support BI and end user requirements.
  • Work with client Analytics and Business Intelligence teams to understand strategic requirements.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience with design and engineering of data management solutions for government healthcare systems. 
  • Have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience architecting and modeling an enterprise data presentation layer, semantic layer, distribution layer, dependent data marts and business intelligence reporting solutions against an enterprise-wide data warehouse according to industry standards.
  • Minimum 3 years experience communicating  skills while serving as the primary interface between business, enterprise architecture, and technical resources developing information management solutions.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with data architecture within an MMIS or large State Health and Human Services System
  • Strong experience in applying industry best practice for Data standardization, Data cleansing, Data Management, Data Visualization and unified information model across the enterprise spanning multiple systems from operational stores, cloud enabled systems and digital touchpoints.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and standards (DMBoK).
  • Fluent in both normalized and dimensional model disciplines and techniques.
  • Hands experience with Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, R, Python or Cypher.
  • Skills to assess and analyze existing database design solutions to ensure optimal designs for query performance.
  • Knowledge of key Business Intelligence and Data Analytics tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx and/or others
  • An ability to simultaneously manage and lead data architecture deliverables across multiple swim lanes.
  • Exposure to Databricks Spark, Delta Technologies, Informatica, SSIS, Talend, ETL or other industry leading tools.
  • Deep understanding of Azure, AWS, Snowflake, Data Bricks and/or other cloud technologies.
  • Experience managing and working with virtual teams.

 

 

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $120,556- $145,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
