We are currently seeking a System Integration Technical Advisor Platform and Cloud Arechitect to join our team in Boise, Idaho (US-ID), United States (US).
The System Integration Technical Advisor (SITA) Platform and Cloud Architect will oversee the design, provisioning, development, and implementation of platform and cloud solutions to support Medicaid modernization initiatives and enhancements. This role involves providing strategic technical leadership, ensuring alignment with organizational architecture standards, state and federal requirements and best practices, and monitoring environments that support all phases of the system development lifecycle (Design, Develop, Implement, Maintenance & Operations). The architect will collaborate with cross-functional teams, multiple vendors, and state stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient solutions that meet business objectives and compliance requirements. This role requires travel on-site, one visit per quarter.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review the architecture and design of integrated cloud and platform solutions, including data, application, infrastructure, integration, and deployment components, aligned with organizational standards and modernization goals.
- Collaborate with enterprise, data, security, and integration architects to maintain comprehensive technical strategies supporting Medicaid modernization efforts.
- Review project artifacts, technical designs, and deliverables throughout the system development lifecycle for quality, compliance, and adherence to architecture standards and industry best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and oversight to vendors and development teams, ensuring best practices are followed for areas including cloud configuration, deployment, data management, system integration, and platform management.
- Conduct research and analysis on emerging technologies and offerings in areas including cloud architecture, SaaS frameworks, data ecosystems, and AI to inform strategic decisions.
- Develop and present technical recommendations, roadmaps, and governance frameworks to senior state leadership and stakeholders.
- Identify, communicate, and mitigate project risks and issues related to platform architecture, security, and compliance.
- Support modernization platform governance and change management processes, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with standards.
- Mentor and guide state technical teams and vendors on cloud and platform concepts and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of Professional experience
- Minimum 4 years of experience supporting large-scale healthcare enterprise cloud and platform modernization projects, preferably within Medicaid systems.
- At least 6 years of experience in system architecture, cloud solutions, or platform engineering, with a focus on scalable, secure, and compliant systems.
- Minimum 4 years experience with one or more cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data architectures such as Data Lake, Data Lakehouse, and Data Mesh.
- Minimum of 8 years of system development lifecycle methodologies, DevOps practices, or architecture frameworks.
- Minimum 4 years creating or technical artifacts, including design documents, integration plans, and security policies.
- Minimum 3 years working with healthcare data, security, and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, TOGAF) preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience architecting, implementing or managing Medicaid enterprise system modernizations.
- Familiarity with vendor management and technical oversight of system integration projects.
- Leadership experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture or software development roles.
Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $97,032- $160,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
