The Oracle NetSuite Finance Functional Lead is the onshore, customer-facing lead responsible for configuring and delivering NetSuite Financial Management solutions across core finance modules.
Day-to-Day Job Duties
- Serve as the primary onshore functional lead for NetSuite Finance, engaging directly with client Finance and Accounting stakeholders to gather requirements, validate designs, and drive decisions.
- Configure and support core NetSuite Finance modules: General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets, Bank Reconciliation, and Multi-currency/Multi-subsidiary (OneWorld).
- Design Chart of Accounts, subsidiary structures, intercompany relationships, and consolidation settings aligned to client reporting requirements.
- Configure SuiteTax, tax codes, tax groups, and tax reporting to meet local and multi-jurisdiction compliance requirements.
- Set up SuiteFlow approval workflows for journal entries, vendor bills, expense reports, and payment approvals.
- Lead client workshops, solution walkthroughs, and UAT sessions; act as the escalation point for offshore team queries on finance configuration.
- Coordinate day-to-day offshore team activities — assign tasks, review deliverables, and track progress against project milestones to ensure customer commitments are met.
- Support period-end close activities, revenue recognition setup (ASC 606 / IFRS 15), and financial reporting using NetSuite saved searches and SuiteAnalytics.
- Lead data migration activities using CSV imports for chart of accounts, customer/vendor masters, and opening balances.
- Develop test scripts, lead SIT and UAT phases, and deliver end-user training and documentation for Finance teams.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of Oracle NetSuite functional experience with at least two full-cycle NetSuite Finance implementations as Functional Lead or Senior Consultant.
- 3+ years Deep hands-on expertise in NetSuite GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Bank Reconciliation, and OneWorld (multi-subsidiary) configuration.
- 2+ Proven experience with SuiteTax, multi-currency, intercompany, and consolidation setup.
- 2+ Experience with SuiteFlow for finance approval workflows and CSV import for financial data migration.
Nice to Have
- NetSuite ERP Consultant certification or SuiteFoundation certification preferred.
- Experience with NetSuite Revenue Recognition (Advanced Revenue Management – ARM) and Budgeting & Planning modules.
- Familiarity with SuiteScript (Tier 1/basic level) and SuiteQL for custom reporting and minor configurations.
- Exposure to NetSuite SuiteCommerce, Payroll, or Project Accounting is a plus.
- CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification is advantageous.
- Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills; able to present confidently to Finance leads and executive sponsors.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate an offshore delivery team; organised, self-motivated, and accountable for team output.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to resolve functional issues independently in a fast-paced project environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Work Arrangement: Onshore, customer-facing role. Must be available to work on-site or co-located with the client as required throughout the engagement.
- Degree: Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or equivalent.
NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for U.S.-based positions. The starting pay range for this role is $107,156 – 198,438. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
