We are looking for a skilled and experienced Senior AWS Data Lake Engineer to join our team. As a Senior AWS Data Lake Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our AWS-based data lake infrastructure. Your expertise will contribute to the effective storage, organization, and retrieval of large volumes of data for analytical and business intelligence purposes. 

Responsibilities: 

• Design, implement, and maintain a scalable and secure AWS-based data lake architecture. 
• Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to understand data requirements and implement solutions for efficient data storage, processing, and retrieval. 
• Implement data governance and security measures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices. 
• Work with AWS big data services such as Amazon S3, AWS Glue, Amazon Athena, Amazon Redshift, and others to build and optimize data pipelines. 
• Develop and implement data lake policies, procedures, and best practices. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data lake solutions with existing systems and applications. 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). 
• Proven experience as an AWS Data Lake Engineer, with expertise in designing and implementing data lake solutions. 
• In-depth knowledge of AWS big data services and tools. 
• Experience with data modeling, schema design, and optimization for analytics workloads. 
• Proficient in query languages and tools for data extraction and analysis. 
• Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance in AWS. 
• Familiarity with data integration, ETL processes, and data warehouse solutions. 
• AWS certifications related to data analytics or big data are highly desirable. 
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 
• Professional level certification in AWS (or agreement to obtain within 6 months post hire)
