We are searching for a EMEA Benefits Specialist, based in Romania, in support of the EMEA region.  This role will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of group benefits programs (such as medical, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, worker's compensation, life insurance, travel and accident plan, flexible spending plan, retirement plan). The Benefits Analyst provides excellent customer service and quality benefits plans, investigates new benefits programs, improves existing programs, and provides analytical and technical support in the delivery of the benefit programs by performing the following duties.

 

Role Responsibilities 

  • Implementation and administration of employee benefit programs such as health insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, retirement plan, and other plans.
  • Analyzes and evaluates services, coverage, and options available through insurance and investment companies to determine programs best meeting needs of organization.
  • Works with benefits outsourcers to process enrollments, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims, rollovers, distributions, loans, hardships and compliance testing.
  • Serves as primary contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators. Coordinate transfer of data to external contacts for services, premiums and plan administration.
  • Evaluate and revise internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency. Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations. Ensure timeliness and accuracy of required reporting and fees.
  • Prepares and communicates information to employees and former employees about benefit programs, procedures, changes, and government-mandated disclosures. Responsible for notifying employees of changes to the benefit programs.
  • Work with HR Operations and benefits outsourcer to provide services to employees to answer their benefit questions, resolve problems related to access to or payment of benefits, orient newly eligible employees, and maintain online enrollment process. Handles benefit escalations and complaints to ensure resolution.
  • Maintains transfer of enrollment and termination data to vendors, plan providers, internal departments, auditors and consultants.
  • Timely audit and processing of benefit invoices.
  • Administers employee wellness programs.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required and minimum of 4 years of experience in benefits administration. Experience working on projects across the EMEA region is ideal; compensation or employee transition experience is a plus.  
  • Knowledge of provincial or national laws relating to Human Resources with an emphasis in benefits administration.
  • Strong PC skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills; proficient in writing and speaking English is required
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently a must; must be flexible with work hours when required
