NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Messaging Services Specialist Advisor - Boundary Services to join our team in Bucharest, București (RO-B), Romania (RO).

 

 

Role Overview

Builds, implements, and manages products/solutions for hosted and remotely managed messaging environments. Maintains messaging infrastructure including messaging server administration and messaging client troubleshooting and resolution. Ensures smooth integration of all messaging systems in a particular environment.

Role Responsibilities

  • Performs maintenance on existing operating systems
  • Evaluates, engineers, tests, recommends, and implements secure infrastructures. Acts as a resource for system escalation issues
  • Gathers business requirements for system design
  • Schedules and coordinates installation and maintenance of software/hardware on the network and ensures compatibility of all communications and computer hardware/software
  • Performs root cause analysis on failed components and implements corrective measures
  • Provides ongoing information to leadership, customers, and peers regarding enhancements, innovations and solutions
  • RCA for high severity issue, CRQ Deployments during weekends/holidays & On Call Support: Currently running the process with 2 resources in the Americas shift for all required work done during weekends
  • Provide Technical Documentation and training to L1 and Service desk and documents platform standards and processes for ongoing operations
  • Executive support escalations: 20-30% time consuming work per week most troubleshooting mail flow issues
  • Acquisitions: Add acquisitions’ messaging environment under NTT DATA Services, planning, development and sustaining included in this process

 

Key Skills

  • Prior experience with Linus OS (Red Hat, CentOS)
  • Prior Experience with SendMail, Postfix and Microsoft IIS SMTP
  • Prior Experience with Email Content Filtering solutions; Cisco IronPort Preferred. Others include ProofPoint and Symantec.Cloud
  • Prior experience managing and deploying Microsoft Exchange Online Protection (EOP) and Advanced Threat Protection (ATP)
  • Demonstrable knowledge of SMTP trouble shooting
  • Knowledge of integrating to back-end systems including Exchange and ListServ is a plus
  • Thorough understanding and management of customer business needs and expectations
  • Exceptional customer service, problem solving, and communication skills
  • Must have sufficient technical depth to communicate with development and other internal organizations at a peer level as well as convey technical concepts to non-technical

 

Qualification

  • Official Red Hat Certified Engineer is a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information System or equivalent knowledge is plus
  • Possess 5+ years of relevant professional experience or equivalent combination of education/experience
