We are currently seeking a Mainframe Systems Programmer to join our team in Buffalo, New York (US-NY), United States (US).

JOB DESCRPTION - This is a hybrid role. Candidates must live in, or live a commutable distance from Buffalo, New York.

This Mainframe Systems Programmer role involves upgrading and supporting the z/OS operating system and ISV products, mainly from IBM and Computer Associates (CA). The successful candidate:

• will ideally have more than ten years of z/OS systems programming experience
• has very strong Parallel Sysplex skills
• has extensive experience of installing many (not just a few) IBM and CA products
• will have ideally worked in a Bank or organizations with large installations
• is confident, able to work independently, and starts contributing from day one

• must have excellent problem-solving skills and be a true team player

• will need to provide off-hours support for the implementation of software changes, when required

• has excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences

Basic Requirements

• 5+ years of experience installing and supporting mainframe software products such as IBM and/or CA/Broadcom
• 3+ years of experience with core z/OS tools (e.g. SMP/E, TSO/ISPF, USS, SDSF, JCL, and/or RACF)
• 3+ years of experience with Parallel Sysplex environments

Experience with the following is preferred:

• ACF2 Security tool
• GDPS
• RACF
• Assembler
• Rexx
• Omegamon
• RMF
• SMF
• SAS

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this hybrid role is $106,575-$142,100. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position in the Buffalo, NY area. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.  This position is eligible for company benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance with an employer contribution, flexible spending or health savings account, life and AD&D insurance, short and long term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program with company match, and additional voluntary or legally-required benefits.
