We are currently seeking a Delivery Director to join our team in CDMX, Ciudad de México (MX-CMX), Mexico (MX).
We are seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to lead and oversee the successful delivery of software projects and services. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end delivery execution, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and leading cross-functional teams, including the QA/Test Manager. The ideal candidate has strong leadership, strategic thinking, and operational management experience within software development environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end delivery of software projects, ensuring scope, timeline, budget, and quality objectives are met.
- Lead and manage cross-functional teams, including Development, QA (Test Manager), Product, and Operations.
- Define and implement delivery governance, processes, and best practices.
- Ensure effective planning, resource allocation, and capacity management.
- Monitor project performance through KPIs, metrics, and reporting.
- Manage risks, dependencies, and issue resolution at a strategic level.
- Act as the primary escalation point for delivery-related matters.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align delivery with business goals.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across delivery and quality processes.
- Ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations when applicable.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in software development and delivery management roles.
- Proven experience leading large, cross-functional teams, including QA leadership (e.g., Test Manager).
- Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, SAFe, or other modern delivery frameworks.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and programs.
- Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA processes.
- Experience with project management and reporting tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project).
- Solid financial and budget management experience.
- Excellent risk management and problem-solving skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- Ability to operate strategically while maintaining attention to operational details.
Nice to Have
- PMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, or similar certification.
- Experience in global or distributed team environments.
- Background in DevOps or cloud-based environments.
- Experience managing vendor or third-party relationships.
This role requires a strategic leader who ensures high-quality delivery, operational excellence, and alignment between technical execution and business objectives.
