We are currently seeking a Senior SAP Supply Chain APO Analyst to join our team in CDMX, Ciudad de México (MX-CMX), Mexico (MX).

SAP Supply Chain APO Analyst

 

Ecolab is seeking a Senior SAP Supply Chain APO Analyst to work with the “Supply Chain Advanced Planning and Optimization value stream” of the SAP Platform Services team. In this role reporting directly to the SAP Operations and Delivery Manager, you will be a critical part of a team providing support for the “end-to-end Supply Chain APO value stream” in the SAP production environment.  You will work directly with our business users and business SMEs on tickets that may involve functional configuration, functional and light technical analysis – solution development – testing – validation – documentation, troubleshooting, data validation and correction and/or end user training. You will also be responsible for timely resolution of end-user tickets to meet Service Levels and KPIs, standard monitoring activities, working with users to gain clarification on issues and understand requirements, coordination of user acceptance testing, documentation and ownership of the tasks required to move changes into production.

What You Will Do:

  • Work as a senior member of the SAP Supply Chain APO value stream team to efficiently develop and execute plans to deliver results.
  • Under general direction, has duty of coordinating, directing, and checking the work of other members within the SAP Supply Chain APO team.
  • Work closely with business users to identify and document functional and technical requirements.
  • Develop complex requirements for process or system solutions within the business domain, based on given business requirements.
  • Maintain expert product knowledge and use an analytical approach to find best practice solutions and opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform root cause analysis for major issues.
  • Provide analysis and hands-on support for system upgrades and technical improvements, coordinating with the development and technical teams.
  • Collaborate with the business, other functional and technical teams (e.g., ABAP, SAP Security, SAP Basis, SAP DB support, etc.) to deliver business requests, resolve issues, perform the root cause analysis (RCA), tune and improve the system performance, etc.
  • Utilize your functional and technical (ABAP) skills to debug and independently analyze to provide optimal SAP solutions.
  • Guide, coach, and mentor the junior and mid-level team members to train them on SAP Supply Chain APO related functional and technical solutions of varying complexity.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT/related discipline and/or equivalent SAP certifications.
  • 12-15 years of support, configuration, and testing experience in SAP modules that support the Supply Chain APO value stream with the core competencies listed below:
    • SAP Supply Chain APO Competencies Required:
      • Integrated Planning and Execution, Demand Planning and Forecasting, Supply Network Planning, Production Planning and Scheduling, Inventory Optimization, Transportation Management Optimization, “Overall” Value Stream (Improved forecast accuracy, Optimized supply chain network, Reduced costs, Increased responsiveness, Enhanced collaboration), Reporting and Analytics.
    • Working knowledge of other SAP modules integrated with SAP Supply Chain APO core competencies required SAP ECC-CIF (Core Interface), Live Cache, ETL of sales and distribution data, Materials Management, Production Planning, Warehouse Management, Finance, SAP BIBW ETL.
  • Experience of working with SAP Security process (and the use of FFID) and find, test, and implement SAP OSS request/notes for given incidents and issues resolution.
  • Experience of working with various middleware technologies and solutions, within and outside of SAP.
  • Experience of working with creating, modifying, scheduling, and monitoring SAP Supply Chain APO related jobs and job plans in a global environment using jobs scheduling tools and applications.
  • Experience with a minimum of 4 full SAP implementations in the Supply Chain APO space, preferably at least 1 with S/4HANA.
  • Experience of independently debugging ABAP codes to find solutions.
  • Working knowledge of ITIL Incident, Problem, and Change Management methodologies.
  • Experience working on multiple projects and meeting project goals on time.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain critical thinking while balancing multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work well within a team, focusing on building relationships with all project stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to learn new skills, technologies, and passion for conveying knowledge.
  • Understand business needs, build strategic partnerships, and document and implement software solutions.
  • Experience with pricing, IDOCs, and Integrations.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience directly within a large ERP systems footprint in a global, multinational environment in the “Chemical Manufacturing / Process“ industry.
  • Experience managing relationships with 3rd party vendors and teams.
  • Able to successfully manage core responsibilities independently or with limited oversight.
  • S/4 HANA certification.
  • Ability to maintain critical thinking while balancing multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work well within a team, focusing on building relationships with all project stakeholders.
