We are currently seeking a IT Project Manager - Healthcare Domain - REMOTE to join our team in Canton, Massachusetts (US-MA), United States (US).

Day to Day Responsibilities Include:

Project Delivery and Management

  • Ensure that all project deliveries are complete and accepted by the customer.
  • Define, approve, manage, and control the scope of the project to meet customer expectations.
  • Develop and manage project schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Estimate and manage project costs to deliver within the customer-approved budget, while preserving profit margins.
  • Assign and manage resources effectively and efficiently to support project goals.

Risk and Quality Management

  • Identify and manage risks and issues proactively throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Plan and deliver high-quality results that meet all agreed-upon requirements, ensuring high customer satisfaction through effective management of the overall customer experience.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

  • Plan and conduct communications to ensure stakeholders are involved, expectations are accurately set and managed, and key stakeholders—both customer and internal—receive adequate updates throughout the project lifecycle.

Strategic Alignment and Collaboration

  • Guide work according to business plans for the discipline.
  • Actively participate in setting area objectives to meet business plans.
  • Escalate matters of business risk when appropriate.
  • Influence others through professional and technical expertise.

Project Execution and Mentoring

  • Manage critical projects, customer engagements, or business processes.
  • Collaborate with the testing team to ensure comprehensive testing is performed, including unit, functional, integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing to meet project standards.
  • Guide the completion of major projects or customer engagements.
  • Allocate work and mentor team members.
  • Contribute to the area through the delivery of end results and participation in planning activities.
  • Provide thought leadership, guidance, and advice within the field.
  • Work across the organization to effectively obtain and allocate resources to complete programs and projects on time.

Communication and Relationship Management

  • Adapt communication techniques for various internal and external audiences.
  • Present facts and information to negotiate mutually acceptable solutions.
  • Delegate responsibilities clearly and comfortably.
  • Cultivate, develop, and manage strong, lasting customer relationships at senior leadership levels.
  • May assist in managing vendor relationships.

Managing Complex Projects and Promoting Standards

  • Manage multiple medium to large projects or at least one complex project or program that requires high levels of functional integration and some organizational change management.
  • Champion project management standards and overall value both internally and externally.

Coaching, Agile Leadership, and Reporting

  • Provide coaching and mentoring and may deliver project management-specific training.
  • Lead and coach teams using Agile Scrum methodology and practices, including facilitating Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily scrums, demos, and retrospectives, and helping teams adhere to the defined goals of each event.
  • Lead the team and collaborate with the product owner on backlog grooming, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives.
  • Provide detailed status updates and deliverables to senior leadership, including kickoff presentations, project plans, budget reports, burndown/up reports, capacity plans, deployment plans, and other required deliverables per project requirements.
  • Guide the product owner and development team on Agile best practices to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Lead the Scrum and development teams in self-organization and remove impediments as necessary.
  • Work with stakeholders to remove impediments for the Agile team.
  • Report status and progress metrics to internal and client stakeholders, clearly articulating project risks. 

 

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of prior project management experience is essential.
  • 5+ years of healthcare domain experience
  • 8+ years demonstrated familiarity with the application of project management principles, along with strong and proven coordination and project management abilities.
  • 5+ years of Application development project management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience is required.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • CSM or SaFE Agile certification is preferred.
  • PMP certification is desirable.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail are required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, as well as effective written and verbal communication abilities, are essential.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and perform successfully under tight deadlines is necessary.
  • Consistent attention to detail and the ability to follow through on tasks to completion are expected.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and a results-oriented approach are required.
  • Candidates must be highly motivated, flexible, and able to work independently, demonstrating the ability to identify next steps with minimal coaching.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with staff at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, including MS Project required.
  • Responsibility for work of others: Persistent and effective in securing deliverables from sub-team project managers/business owners.  

 

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $77,760 - $180,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
