We are seeking an accomplished Application Modernization Specialty Seller to accelerate growth within the North American Banking and Financial Services (BFS) market. In this highly strategic role, you will be responsible for originating, shaping, and closing large-scale application modernization and digital transformation opportunities across banking, payments, wealth management, capital markets, and financial services clients.
You will champion NTT DATA's Application Modernization portfolio, including:
- Custom Application Development
- Application Architecture Modernization
- Legacy and Mainframe Modernization
- Cloud Migration and Transformation
- API and Integration Modernization
This is a remote U.S.-based role with travel as required to support executive client engagement and strategic pursuits.
As a trusted advisor and consultative seller, you will partner with senior technology and business leaders to shape modernization roadmaps, develop compelling transformation strategies, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to Banking and Financial Services clients, helping define and execute enterprise application modernization strategies.
- Originate, shape, negotiate, and close complex consulting and technology services engagements focused on application transformation.
- Develop and execute account and pursuit strategies that drive revenue growth and market expansion.
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with CIOs, CTOs, Chief Digital Officers, Heads of Engineering, and Transformation Leaders.
- Identify client business challenges and align NTT DATA capabilities to deliver measurable business value.
- Lead full lifecycle sales activities, including opportunity qualification, solution development, pricing strategy, contract negotiation, and deal closure.
- Partner closely with solution architects, industry SMEs, delivery leaders, and alliance partners to design differentiated modernization solutions.
- Develop compelling business cases and value propositions tied to client outcomes and industry-specific KPIs.
- Maintain deep understanding of Banking and Financial Services trends, regulatory environments, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies.
- Build and maintain a qualified pipeline sufficient to achieve and exceed annual bookings targets.
- Support enterprise sales teams by providing application modernization expertise throughout the sales cycle.
- Cultivate long-term client relationships while identifying expansion opportunities across strategic accounts.
Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience selling consulting, technology, or digital transformation services.
- 8+ years of experience originating, shaping, negotiating, and closing large-scale professional services engagements.
- 5+ years of experience selling one or more of the following:
- Application Modernization
- Custom Application Development
- Application Architecture
- Legacy or Mainframe Modernization
- Cloud Migration and Transformation
- Digital Engineering Services
- Significant experience serving Banking and Financial Services clients across one or more of the following sectors:
- Retail Banking
- Commercial Banking
- Capital Markets
- Payments
- Wealth Management
- Financial Services
- Demonstrated success managing complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and executive decision makers.
Preferred Skills & Attributes
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven success originating and closing large digital transformation or modernization engagements valued at $10M-$25M+ TCV.
- Strong relationships within North American Banking and Financial Services organizations.
- Experience engaging Fortune 500 executives.
- Exceptional executive presence and communication skills.
- Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to align cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience building business cases, executive presentations, and transformation roadmaps.

NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for U.S.-based positions. The starting pay range for this remote role is 127,577 - 236,254. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
