We are currently seeking a Insider Threat Product Manager to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina (US-NC), United States (US).
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced cybersecurity professional to lead our Insider Threat product development and support functions. This role sits at the critical intersection of security strategy, technology development, and operational support, driving our insider risk management capabilities to new heights. The ideal candidate will bring both technical depth and strategic leadership to evolve our insider threat solutions while ensuring continuous operational excellence.
Primary Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Development
- Define the product roadmap and vision for our insider threat capabilities, aligning with organizational security objectives and industry best practices
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing new insider threat monitoring and detection features, utilizing AI, machine learning, and behavioral analytics
- Establish metrics and KPIs to measure product effectiveness and demonstrate value to stakeholders
- Partner with engineering teams to translate security requirements into technical specifications
- Stay abreast of emerging insider threat technologies, techniques, and regulatory requirements
Program Management & Operations
- Own the end-to-end insider threat program lifecycle, from development through deployment and ongoing support
- Develop and refine policies, procedures, and workflows for insider threat detection, investigation, and response
- Establish and maintain governance structures to ensure proper oversight and compliance
- Create and maintain documentation for all aspects of the insider threat program
- Coordinate regular program reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Legal, HR, Privacy, and Compliance teams to ensure the program meets all regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with Data Science teams to enhance analytics capabilities and reduce false positives
- Work with business units to understand unique insider risk profiles and tailor monitoring accordingly
- Engage with executive leadership to report on program performance and strategic initiatives
- Represent the insider threat function in enterprise security governance forums
Qualifications /Required Experience & Skills
- 14+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 8 years focused on insider threat management
- Proven track record leading product development initiatives for security technologies
- 14 + Years of Experience building and managing support teams in a 24/7 operational environment
- 10 + years of Deep understanding of behavioral analytics, UEBA, Access Control, Event Logs, DLP, and related security technologies
- Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., NIST 800-53, ISO 27001)
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences
- Experience with agile development methodologies and product management practices
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (Master's preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience implementing AI/ML solutions for security use cases
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, FAIR, or CRISC
- Background in financial services, healthcare, or government security operations
- Experience with cloud security and securing remote/hybrid work environments
- Knowledge of privacy regulations and their impact on monitoring programs
