We are currently seeking a Proposal Response Lead / Manager to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina (US-NC), United States (US).
Reporting to the Business Development Senior Director, the Proposal Response Lead / Manager oversees the proposal solution development process and manages the drafting of proposal responses for NTT DATA Government Consulting and Advisory (GCA) services.
This position manages the proposal process including RFP analysis, schedules, content reviews ensuring 100% compliant responses, conducting color reviews, and working with production through delivery. This position requires the ability to work with persons in various roles to provide guidance on bid strategy, win themes, value propositions, and other elements of response writing to produce a compelling, winning proposal.
Working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, and in close collaboration with the Business Development Senior Director, the proposal development center, client partners, and practice leads, the Director’s responsibilities include:
- Lead the writing team and work with capture and business development teams to ensure compliant, on-time submission.
- Work closely with Proposal Writers and sales executives to map out and implement a project plan.
- Assist in developing response frameworks and schedules.
- Coordinate with legal, security, and other internal teams.
- Write responses to Requests for Proposals, Requests for Information, and other federal, state or international government requests.
- Evaluate requirement documents, such as RFPs and RFQs.
- Review and edit proposal responses for consistency, compliance, win theme incorporation, solution accuracy and other elements during regular and core team review cycles in order to create the final proposal submission.
- Effectively leading and participating in color team reviews.
- Populate response frameworks with standardized reuse content.
- Help develop new content or modify existing content by working with Subject Matter Experts, such as through interviews and other techniques.
- Edit documents for grammar, style, and formatting to effectively leverage and promote the Gordian value proposition.
- Consistently implement NTT DATA brand messaging, including tone, style, and win themes, within all responses.
- Help to grow and maintain a response database of content that can be leveraged to make our response process more efficient.
- Train/mentor staff in leading proposal efforts and other support roles to develop responsive and compelling proposals.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Fluency in English.
- 5-years demonstrated knowledge of the public procurement and solicitation process.
- 5-years leading proposal response teams for public sector opportunities including state, local, and federal government.
- 5-years proven ability delivering concise, consistent, and compelling proposals.
- 5-years in-depth knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe products.
- Requested Qualifications:
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience recommending and implementing improvements to standard proposal processes to improve quality and timeliness of results.
- Experience serving as an effective proposal reviewer.
- Experience supporting proposal training and mentoring, specifically in the areas of proposal writing and solution.
- Experience supporting proposal response tracking portals, artifacts, and dashboards.
Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $122,556- $155,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
