We are currently seeking a Senior Java Developer - Treasury Technology (FTE / Hybrid) to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina (US-NC), United States (US).
Day to Day job Duties: (what this person will do on a daily/weekly basis)
• Design, develop, enhance, and support enterprise applications using Java and related backend technologies supporting Treasury and Capital Markets functions.
• Work directly with business stakeholders to understand business requirements, clarify functional needs, and translate them into appropriate technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, business logic, integrations, and database components.
• Take end-to-end ownership of assigned solutions from requirements gathering and design through development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Support applications and business processes related to intercompany loans, hedging programs, interest-rate derivatives, fixed-income securities transactions, collateral management, and other treasury transactions.
• Partner with business analysts, architects, developers, QA teams, and production-support teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Participate in technical design discussions and recommend scalable, maintainable, and reliable implementation approaches.
• Develop high-quality object-oriented code following enterprise development standards and best practices.
• Work with relational databases to develop queries, troubleshoot data issues, and support application functionality.
• Troubleshoot complex application and production issues and drive them through resolution.
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to other team members as required.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders regarding requirements, design decisions, risks, dependencies, and delivery progress.
• Demonstrate a clear understanding of the business purpose of the applications being developed and ensure technology solutions address the underlying business need.
Basic Qualifications: (what are the skills required to this job with minimum years of experience on each)
• Minimum 8+ years of software development experience, with strong hands-on experience in Java-based enterprise applications.
• Minimum 6+ years of hands-on Java backend development experience.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience within Banking, Financial Services, Treasury, or Capital Markets technology.
• Strong experience with object-oriented programming, design principles, and enterprise software-development practices.
• Strong experience developing backend applications, REST APIs, services, and integrations.
• Strong SQL and relational database experience.
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and clarify requirements.
• Demonstrated experience translating business requirements into technical designs and working solutions.
• Proven ability to independently own and deliver application features or initiatives from requirements through implementation.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to explain previous project experience in terms of personal contribution, business functionality, technical implementation, and delivered outcomes.
Travel: This position is based in Charlotte, North Carolina. The candidate is expected to work from the Charlotte office approximately three days per week and should be available for an in-person interview in Charlotte. Limited travel may be required based on business needs.
Degree: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

• Experience supporting Treasury or Capital Markets applications.
• Business knowledge of hedging programs, interest-rate derivatives, fixed-income securities, intercompany loans, and collateral management.

NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for U.S.-based positions. The starting pay range for this role is $96,800.00 - $145,200.00. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
