We are currently seeking a Senior Java Spring Boot Developer (FTE / Hybrid) to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina (US-NC), United States (US).

Day-to-Day Job Duties

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and microservices for enterprise applications.
• Design and implement services using secure, reusable, and scalable architecture patterns.
• Develop and optimize applications using Oracle/PostgreSQL databases.
• Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database integrations.
• Implement and support CI/CD pipelines for application build, testing, and deployment.
• Monitor application performance and production issues using Splunk and other observability tools.
• Troubleshoot production incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
• Participate in cloud modernization, including migration of legacy applications to cloud-native platforms.
• Collaborate with architects, DevOps, QA, business analysts, and other technology teams.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, deployment, and release activities.
• Create technical documentation and support application modernization initiatives.

Basic Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Java/backend development.
• 5+ years of experience with Spring Boot.
• 4+ years of experience developing REST APIs.
• 4+ years of experience designing and developing microservices.
• 4+ years of experience with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL databases.
• 3+ years of experience with SQL and database integration.
• 3+ years of experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
• 2+ years of experience with Splunk or similar application monitoring tools.
• 3+ years of experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• 3+ years of experience in application/cloud modernization and legacy system transformation.
• 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise applications in production.
• 3+ years of experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• 2+ years of experience with Git, code reviews, automated testing, and deployment processes.
• 3+ years of experience troubleshooting complex application and production issues.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to Have

• 2+ years of experience with Docker/Kubernetes and containerized applications.
• 2+ years of experience with Kafka or event-driven architecture.
• 2+ years of experience with cloud-native services and serverless technologies.
• 2+ years of experience with Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or similar observability platforms.
• Experience with legacy-to-microservices transformation.
• Experience in financial services, insurance, or other regulated enterprise environments.

NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for U.S.-based positions. The starting pay range for this role is $96,800.00 - $145,200.00. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.

This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
