We are currently seeking a Business Consulting - GDS Technical Analyst to join our team in Chennai, Tamil Nādu (IN-TN), India (IN).

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled GDS Technical Analyst with 5–8 years of experience in working with Global Distribution Systems (GDS) within the travel or airline industry. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in GDS platforms such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Travelport, along with experience in system integration, API development, troubleshooting, and supporting travel booking platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and analysis for GDS platforms such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Travelport.
- Develop, integrate, and maintain APIs and web services connecting GDS systems with internal applications.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions within GDS environments.
- Work closely with product teams, developers, and travel operations teams to ensure seamless booking workflows.
- Troubleshoot and resolve GDS-related technical issues including reservations, ticketing, pricing, and availability.
- Perform system configuration, enhancements, and performance optimization for GDS integrations.
- Support testing, implementation, and deployment of new GDS features or upgrades.
- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability of booking systems.
- Maintain technical documentation, system architecture diagrams, and integration workflows.
- Ensure compliance with airline distribution standards and industry protocols.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5–8 years of experience working with Global Distribution Systems (GDS).
- Hands-on experience with at least one major GDS platform:
- Amadeus
- Sabre
- Travelport (Galileo/Worldspan)
- Experience with GDS APIs, SOAP/REST web services, and XML/JSON integrations.
- Strong understanding of travel industry workflows including reservations, ticketing, fare pricing, and availability.
- Experience working with middleware, booking engines, or travel portals.
- Knowledge of SQL and database querying.
- Familiarity with integration tools and API gateways.
- Experience in system troubleshooting, incident resolution, and root cause analysis.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in airline, OTA, travel technology companies, or travel management platforms.
- Knowledge of NDC (New Distribution Capability) standards.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Understanding of payment gateways and ticketing systems.
