We are currently seeking a Data Architect Lead Consultant to join our team in Chennai, Tamil Nādu (IN-TN), India (IN).

We are seeking a Senior Data Modeler to serve as the architect of our "Single Version of the Truth." This role is central to our Data Maturity Initiative, where you will define the semantic structures that power our Logistics and Parcel Services analytics. The Data Modeler collaborates closely with Data Engineers, Business Analysts, Solution Architects, and domain SMEs to translate business requirements into high‑quality, scalable data models. A key focus will be on strengthening semantic models and improving data quality across logistics data such as shipments, orders, warehousing, inventory, transportation, and fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities: • Architectural Design: Develop and maintain 3rd Normal Form (Conceptual/Logical) and physical data solutions for complex initiatives spanning multiple lines of business. • Semantic Modeling: Build semantic layers and artifacts (metric definitions, dimensions, conformed entities) to support business friendly data consumption in Power BI or Tableau. • Database Engineering: Generate Data Definition Language (DDL) for development teams and interpret data requirements to create effective designs within established constraints. • Governance & Standards: Ensure all models align with enterprise governance standards, glossaries, and reference data using Informatica Axon. • KPI Management: Define and govern enterprise KPIs and metrics (definitions, grain, calculation logic) aligned with the business glossary. • Collaboration: Actively solicit requirements from stakeholders and work with Data Engineers to implement logical models into physical structures across diverse database environments. • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive data dictionaries, metadata, and model documentation to ensure long-term data integrity and compliance.

 Required Skills • Modeling Expertise: Expert-level knowledge of conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling. High proficiency in ERwin, PowerDesigner, or equivalent tools. • Database Specialist: Deep knowledge of database concepts across multiple platforms, including relational (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server), Cloud (BigQuery, Spanner), and NoSQL (Couchbase). • Technical Proficiency: Strong SQL skills and the ability to apply data standards and analysis techniques to ensure compliance. • Analysis & Communication: Excellent solicitation skills with the ability to translate complex business needs into technical message and data models. Strong written and verbal communication is essential. • Data Governance: Familiarity with Informatica Axon for governance, metadata management, and data quality initiatives. • Design Methodologies: Solid understanding of relational, dimensional, and domain-driven design.

Preferred Skills • Logistics or supply chain data domain knowledge.

 Education • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
